Auto graphic adjustment
I don't know for how long this has been going on, but my game randomly changes graphic settings as soon as I finish a set of matches or in between them. My gaming laptop scores 360 on preferences, but handles ultra settings + 55 rendering and constant 59-60 fps without any sort of issues whatsoever. Sometimes it lowers them straight out of a match, sometimes it doesn't, and does it only after a while. It can't be my laptop's fault, so how is it possible that message keeps popping up as I've been playing with max graphics since the release of the game? Is there really no way to turn that auto adjustment off?

Apparently not, and it kinda keeps getting worse. At first I never got it when people started complaining, because my game never stalled. But then after some updates, it started to occasionally happen, and I think the game stalled only once and was barely noticable, and it wasn't my PC's fault, since it's more than capable of running the game.

What's worse is that today it lowered my graphics after my opponent's PC stalled. I glanced at the indicator when the game chugged, and it was their side that was red, not mine. I don't know what they're doing in the backend, but it's slowly making it worse

Seeing a ton of that too. My game was fine before on two different systems.

Now-

Whenever I play anyone that dips into Red it kills my graphics after the match too.

This sucks.

I don't get why did they implement this setting without giving the chance to turn it off. It's too important to not make it visible in the game for problems such as this one

2080ti and a old i7 here, DLAA tweaks at use 1440p. No graphical adjustments happening on my system and I see other people redlining all the time when I meet them.
Dunno what is this function and how it operates. I've googled it too but no success.

It happens the most when my opponents got a lacking internet connection for some unknown reason. So it's not only about you or your own settings, it's the opponent's that triggers it

Yes, these kind of explanations just makes the issue more obscure. Why would the oponents lag affect your gfx settings? Doesn't make any sense. This is why I'm prone not to accept this as a "feature" just yet. People are so lacking in PC skills today I have to follow this all this year, see if any new reports surface that would actually shed some light in to this. Currently it's just reddit and steam posts that say this is happening.

I complained about this a couple of months ago on this forum. Interesting to see nothing changed. Every update did somehow make performance worse however.

It seems that even compiling shaders (most people do not have it manually set to compile at startup) Seems to also be a contributing factor...

If true- That is a HUGE, even Game killing (online atleast) issue. Because with every update (even shops ones) it is recompiling shaders. If players are nto aware- any matches with players after an update will be downgrading players.... Players on both sides LOL

This whole first year has been nothing but a Bungle in the Jungle at this point.

I managed to reduce the occurrence ever since I removed PlayStation players from the equation. Still getting it, but way less.

Which is also strange don't you think?

Because the PS5 (apart from the new "slim" one), should have the same hardware pretty much 99% of the time (drives may matter?).

It does seem like players on not stellar internet are in fact degrading not only the experiences of players online- but also their visuals.

This is all so funny.

What we need is a mod that makes the ENTIRE GAME look like tekken 3.

I have MSI Afterburner and Nvidia app running so I can check game's behavior while I play.
Frame rate is stable 59-60 on most stages, except Dojo where I experience weird hiccups regardless of settings. Especially if my opponent and I trigger Heat.
Render latency is around 15ms, jumping to 45ms from time to time. I can't figure that one out as it doesn't impact the frame rate.

The game is significantly stable for offline play than online.

One more thing I noticed recently is the game feels sluggish. When I check my replays my opponent are always 9-14 frames ahead of me with inputs. Even when I hold a button, their input log is around that time frame.

I have noticed that too.

The frames in replays do not always seem "in sync" like you would expect.

I get the feeling that after each patch- the game's stability is getting worse online.

I assue neither in an actual game.

A game that has the ability to change your graphics settings mid-game is pretty ridiculous. Considering you have no choice since there's no toggle for it. I'm surprised that idea even made it out of the conference room.
