I use it more than any other costume. It's simple and nice looking. Things like mods should never be charged as they are by players for players.
companies dont hate mods, they hate when others makes money with their own game, the same happened with the community project of SM2 (custom made mw2 multiplayer by the community)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tTKIo3iekuo
little note: activision didn't sent the cease and desist until the creators of the mod stated in their webpage "we will sell special suscriptions and tiers, those who pay will get a better service" that's when the companies say NAH NAH NAH and sent the lawyers.
The reason L4D2 has survived this long, though, is because of the modding community. Compare that game to their much more recent title, Back for Blood. It's already close to dead because of a lack of mod support.
I doubt what Namco is doing will affect Tekken's longevity to that degree, but it's important to keep in mind.
Back in the day when I was making mods, I made them all available for everyone to download. I felt great that my stuff is liked and made me feel useful.
But honestly i don't really care about tekken 8 mods.
I only have a Reina mute mod(apologies cheez3) and thats it.
All tekken 8 mods are just thirsty mods, there's no cool stage mods as in T7.
However if a mod is quality made, then what's wrong supporting the modder?
yeah she gets annoying after some time
don't get me wrong, i still think namco sucks for doing it. i just also think that people who charge for mods suck.
The way I see it modding is pure passion to share with the community. You should never ask money for it because as hard as you worked for it, the game is not your property.
If you make quality work, good on you. If you want to get paid, make your own game IMHO.
pretty much the one side is art is becoming more hard to generate professionally and being more time consuming means more the need for payment.
but unless that art is 100% made from scratch and not tied to another IP then people have 0 right to sell it.
they can however sell their designs on other merchandise that they can do instead.
but a mod is still tied to the company who is not part of your business model.
No it's not, you think that's the reason Namco chopped down the tree?
Lol
