It is also good because you don't have the annoying sticks nearby that are useless in Tekken or the touchpad like on the PS4 one.
PS5 ones will die off sooner than Ps2, PS3 or even PS4 ones, because now they want you to buy a new one every 2 years or so. They build them weaker and probably with cheaper materials on purpose.
Otherwise if it is just for Tekken and you are not afraid to have to relearn everything for some time until you get used to it, you can get a hitbox or something similar.
If you don't want to spend money and you're on PC, you can learn keyboard. It's sort of the same thing as a hitbox. There are cheap hitbox knockoffs and sticks you can investigate as well. The main thing about tekken is movement is key, and Korean backdash is much easier on leverless controllers or keyboard than a controller. Any other game I'd just say stick with a controller.
I can't say what you should do exactly, but I am the type to try everything and see for myself.
point 2, if u play at night and u dont want to be annoying with the noise, the dpad and buttons of the dual sense is much more silent.
point 3, lots of games uses the dualsense tech (adaptative triggers, gyro, touch screen, inbuilt speaker) for the price u get a controller with tons of features compared to the xbox controller.
rn Im using a series controller for tekken too, but been doing research and seems like the playstation controller is a solid alternative for PC users.
Then i tried out leverless, but it just feels "wrong" to me XD
Next up was arcade stick, got myself an 8bitdo wireless stick.
It is awesome! But unfortunately i get wrist pain in my right hand (my right hand is a bit messep up after 2 surgeries i had)
Finally i settled with a ps5 controller i got for a good price on amazon.
It is different to the series x in the way that it is less clicky on the d pad and the buttons on the right have a smaller profile.
The triggers are smoother. Personally i also like the grip better, but that will vary from person to person.
Only thing i dislike, also on the ps4 pad, are the sticks.
But since i dont need them for tekkeni dont care much.
I dont think it will make much of a difference what controller you use, some might prefeer the clicky feedback of the series x. The dpad on ps5 may be a bnit kmore mushy but easier to press and to glide on.
If you have the opportunity to try it, get an arcade stick, its a lot of fun to use!
If u are all about compettive and perfect execution then leverless should be the way to go.
But i think it takes a lot of practice to get the inputs correctly.
And also there are quiet some videos on youtube comparing different input methods, you could also look into that!
Anakin is playing on a Dual Sense.
The best SF6 players also play on it: Punk and MenaRD.
I think both are good for fighting (ps5 and xbox) games but it’s good to have both for PC. Dual Sense have additional functions like touchpad, haptic feedback, adaptive triggers, speakers, mic. Some of the newest single player games use these features.
there is rumor that Microsoft will adopt haptics but the feel and .. the Xbox dpad .. I'd rather go for a 80$ PS6 controller and wait for PC drivers.. Its just that good
A lot of players also use arcade sticks. It's more a matter of a habit/nostalgia.
