Cheaters?

I haven't played a ton of T8 yet. But today I met the first player who was pretty obviously using a program to block everything and also break every throw.
Are cheaters common, what is your experience?

real cheaters are much more problematic than pluggers

I had an encounter with a bad player (whiffed all over, randomly jumped..) who was miraculously good at breaking all throws too.

Super common. But you won’t get many honest replies, only downplayers who insist it’s not a huge issue. All the cheats that were used in T7 are alive and well in this game. Auto counterhit users are more common nowadays, miraculously interrupting your attacks with a faster move/heat engager (even as you mix up your timing…), but otherwise just stand there as if they don’t know how to play. They play passively because they are waiting for their cheats to play the game for them.

To test for input reading, whiff a move at max distance away from your opponent and check whether the player will attack/duck on the same frame. Players that only take damage as a punish or counterhit are using perfect defense cheats.

u can tell how much people cheats with those spectacular aereal combos, they just lift u and u are done, kazuyas excels in this, he can whoop ur ass for like 7 seconds and then he activates heat and retakes the combo.

at this point I will just play the campaing mode and uninstall tekken, I just cant get out of dominator with this much cheating, I won a match, lost against 3 fujins with incredible perfect execution, it's a annoying cycle, I won two, lost five, I cant just rank up anymore, at least in arcade mode u can find honest players, people with 130K+ tekken level who makes mistakes or plays for fun, in ranked (at least in my region) feels like everyone is playing for a tekken cup or money, it's just too much.

To be fair, I am not criticizing you or saying you're wrong, there are cheaters for sure and you may have been unlucky and met many.

But in my opinion it is actually likely that most players you faced doing optimized combos are just people who trained a lot.

i honestly cant tell because i am not well versed in fighting games this one is the first fighting game i played 100 hours or more but i did see some players that can tech out all of my throws not saying they cheating but i was surprised

These are probably cheaters if they do it at begginer/intermediate and systematically break them.

If you check your replays and notice that they always break the throw in the same frames, it is highly suspicious if not guaranteed that they cheat. Even professionals sometimes fail to break some throws.

One way to notice cheaters also is when they have no skill in movement but pull off insane punish on unseeable lows for instance or guys who systematically punish with electrics (macro users), or guys who auto duck almost or everything you do etc..

During the entire lifespan of Tekken7 I met approximately five cheaters. In my 200+ hours in T8 I have met 0. My maximum rank is still bushin though, it is quite possible that cheaters are of a much higher rank.

Someone shoild take this lier harada to court and i am sure at this point he will lose and hast to refound all games sold because this game doesnt hold on hos own policies!!cheaters you can report nothing happens you have video to show it but nothing happens the game mechanik is still not working the combohitcounter doesnt work it starts 1-3starts again by 1doesnt matter witch combo you start!!i can make a law combo with 19-23hits but hey if i am doing it only the half lifebar is gone!blocking doesnt work not at standig still or holding back i get hit everytime!!and the best thing is my jab is laws fastest attack works slower than a 20frame attack so i am really thinking about taking this lier to court !!!he said they took action against cheaters and what happend the game was overrun by cheaters and you can report it they doesnt even look at youre report!!♥♥♥♥ you harrada i spit in youre mongoface and if i will ever meet you in real life for all time for all money and for all stress and rage and hate i ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ smack youre face thats for sure
