What's gameplan for Asuka?
I dont really know what to do beside poking

She has a billion launchers, if you watch kingreyjr a lot of the time he doesn't even use Asuka's moveset to pressure, just punish and find launch opportunities. Pressuring with her mostly comes down to using fff1+2, f4 or ff1 for the +frames then mixing them up her dozens of mix-up tools or CH fishing with b4. Slip in SS2 when you are minus frames and you will catch a lot of people pressing. Getting in with WS1+2 and using her FC game is also super effective. Magic 4 is also nuts when the opponent is in your face.

To play defensive, but good luck with that in this offensive based game.

Press random buttons and things just work. She has easy execution

Watch Fergus channel on youtube, he is a very strong player with Asuka, mains her since like 15+ years or something, he is God of destruction in T8 with her. He plays her quite aggressively :

KingReyJR is also very strong, you can look for his games on YT : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-O70k2va46w&t=11288s

It is useful to watch high level players like them because you can see how some players make the most out of a character's strengths.
dash 1+2 dash d1+2 backdash b3

As a Asuka Main i would say learn your enemys ~
D34 and F12 for punishing people that attack first at the start.
When someones down Hold F3 its unblockable.
DF34 its at first very good by beginners - Cancel with BD and punish with 1+4 Same goes fors F2.

Many people fall for UF3 to B2+3 for a counter, works good on people that spam 12 often like Reina.

Get used to break throws with 1,2,1+2 and use it themselves like D2+3.

Last and least Youtube ~ like Fergus2k8 watch him and try it yourself.

Asuka is the second weakest character in T8... right behind Steve.
Her execution is super easy. For max damage, you only need timing. (Ff4 pickup)
Anything else requires no execution.

But here is the thing... with Asuka you have to play your opponent. She has no good lows... and only two mediocre lows (db3, d1+2) both are heavily punishable (depending on opponent) and one has the reach of someone with toddler arms.

You have to bait a lot. Use frame traps and adjust to the opponents gameplan.
And since you only have max 3 rounds.... Asuka is really bad in ranks.

If you like playing Asuka, stick with her.

If you like winning more than winning switch to Jun (no excecution) or Lee (same archetype but with more tools)
