PS5 pad sucks, you can tell they didn’t take fighters into consideration when they made it
I went from using an old ps3 controller because ps4 / 5 just felt clunky. Using a hitbox equivalent now Haute42 T16. Best I’ve ever used. Even tried using an arcade stick for a while. Was too much work playing on left side.
U can get that hitbox for around 80eu. Don’t know the prices for a ps4 controller nowadays
Anything with a good dpad will do.
You can try playing with the keyboard as well, many do.
Am I playing better because of this? I doubt it...
But at least I can't blame it for my incompetence
I don't feel like giving 250 euros for a gamepad. Maybe if I had a PS5 but I will probably go with XBOX or PS4 gamepad, since a lot of people are saying they are good. And they say that the regular PS5 gamepad has terrible DPAD for fighting games.

none of those... a custom made hitbox is the best for input response and gameplay
I was also thinking about some good mechanical keyboard...
Betop Thorn Shadow
Dual Shock 4
Razer Wolverine V2 Chroma/Tournament Edition
Flydigi Apex 3/Vader 3 Pro/Direwolf 2
SCUF Envision Pro
As someone else said, they really screwed up the d-pad on the DualSense PS5 controller, it was fixed on the DualSense Edge but the DS4 is simply way more cost effective at that point.
