I'm glad i havn't bought the season pass.

4 chars and non of them is interesting for me.
And the choices seem very weired.
Why Eddy when we already have way to many males in the game and christie wasn't in T7.
Why heichachi back. He was dead we are not playing Buffy.
While i never played any FF i still know 2-3 characters, those would be more reasonable choices as someone most people don't know.
Lidia was the only ok char this season pass, but defintly not enough for me to buy her as dlc or the season pass.

Not entirely. Although Noctis is a sword-user, he has a modernised style to his look and isn’t as flashy or out of place as Lars or Jack-7 in terms of move-list in Tekken 7. Even Kunimitsu and Negan who both fight hand-to-hand, warrant enough style for him to look in place. Nothing really stands out with him as he still fights with his limbs, and if you place him besides a character like Gigas or Fahkumram, he pales in comparison.

I mean when you add in any guest that doesnt fallow the specific design style of tekken of course it will clash.. The only reason Dr B probably was designed as a mad farting doc was probably because Gon was going to be severely out there. Or maybe its reversed. Regardless the popularity of Noctis bore this character and a lot of people will get interested in Tekken that weren't before.

We're discussing Noctis not being out of place due to these specific reasons and your response is a generic anyone can be. That's not really a valid response when we're talking about the fact that all of these characters have an ability to fight with their arms, legs, hands, and fists; albeit some addition/supplementary magic/weapon involved. It's not a far-cry from what Tekken 7 actually was.

Besides, your original post was saying that it was his anime sword-fighter persona that made him stand out, which I've already pointed out isn't as abnormal as you're suggesting.

Tag 2 was a massive disaster and a massive natural disaster messed up SCV as well.
Tekken 7 got lucky cause of AMC and Capcom not Harada and tekken.

oh I forgot - unironically and non-joking, I am bummed so many people are disappointed with this. make sure you let them know how you feel -- you're the fans, you're the people this corporation needs to stay alive. let them know how you feel as often as you can. the more CALM and NON-TRASHY you are the more likely they'll listen to what you have to say. I don't think a major disappointment is what Tekken 8 needed right now.
