Customization is getting steadily worse since TT2

Im not talking about the ability to make Soul Calibur abominations, just plain clothes, I coukd care less about items etc

T7 was watered down but here its just terrible.
For females for example its the same 5 short sleeve shirts with dif image, same 3 skirts different color, same 3 skirts medium length, Same 3 pants one is plat 2 others are like, blue and red.

They removed ability to seperate your bade costume in parts, full body base costumes used to be broken up in body part sections for some characters, they removed that.

They removed leather jacket with fingerless gloves, sleeveless hoodie, shoes sucks ass they removed anything that remained remotely cool like thigh high leather boots, females don't get any boots period, its all stupid sandals and flats and grandma shoes with or without leggings

I used to pair leather jacket with long boots to have some clean non distracting customization. Now you got a T shirt with rose on it, grandma sweater and office dress ♥♥♥♥ like wtf is this

Dont get me started on removing swimsuits, god forbid we get any midriff or these ppl will lose their minds. Because “sexualized”

Meanwhile you can still sexualize male characters by making them half naked, like wtf is this queer double standard rules for one gender but not for another

Male chars Get the leather jacket for example and other cool boots/tops, but females get ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ flip flops , like what is the reasoning behind this sh*t strategy

Everyone knows this already. TTT2 had better customization than T7 and T7 had better customization than T8.

Most of the good customization in this game is pretty generic with them practically copying and pasting clothes from iconic franchises that everyone and their grandma can come up with. Leather jacket w/ shotgun(Leon Kennedy,) Straw hat red sleeveless button shirt (Luffy,) Black compression shirt with white bottom gi (Toji and Gojo.)

It's sad because a lot of people seem to like it yet the customization could be so much more, but no, let's sell bikini's and legacy outfits in our brand new Tekken shop! Instead of fixing simple issues like plugging penalties, better optimization, things that's ACTUALLY needed.

I've noticed it's bad, but it hasn't stopped me from making a customization here or there. So far:

Shaheen -> Kyosuke (Rival Schools)
Steve -> Roy (Rival Schools)
King -> Boman while unfortunately being forced to wear a mask (Rival Schools)
Jun -> Kyoko (Rival Schools)
Reina -> Zaki (Rival Schools)
Bryan -> Cody (Street Fighter Alpha 3)
Law -> Guy (mixture of Final Fight and Street Fighter Alpha 2 because of the shoes)

Some ideas have been shot down because of lack of options, sure. Otherwise everyone would be characters from Rival Schools clearly. If they add more items to customize with, I hope it just runs off the in game currency and not my actual wallet.

Regardless of the limits, player are coming up with many, many, many great outfits. Much more realized than anything possible in 7

They really did? LOL, now there is a big reason to not buy Tekken 8. Tekken 7 the best Tekken.

It's by design, so they can sell you new clothes/cosmetic items.

I 100% think they will add more, I just hope it's free updates and not paid.
SF6 has handled the DLC horribly ( also tbh most of the skins look bad, or it's just Avatar stuff and not skins for the characters... ).
I just hope Tekken 8 handles it better.

The game has also been massively successful and blown Bandai Namcos expectations out of the water.
So if they're smart they'll invest and keep improving the Tekken brand.

Edit: I am definitely expecting some returning skins too like how they added Nina's biker suit in a patch or Asuka's older costume ( Lili also doesn't have her original yet ).

When it comes to the general customization tho I just don't want t-shirts lmao...
It's pretty lame when they just add different t-shirts, make it a bit more exciting.

I would like to see more useful outfit pieces and clothes overall. T-shirts don't look that good. Some dresses, suits, caps, helmets, etc would be most welcome. Options to change regular full body outfits also would be nice.

They will sell us clothes in their new in game shop next patch. Not a problem, I hope if they got money, that we will gett support and season pass each year for the next 10 years before Tekken 9. With 4 characters each year, we could have a huge roster like in Tekken Tag... and perhaps a Tekken Force later.

You're skipping Tekken 8 entirely because there won't be as many naked women. I don't even know what to say. Sidenote Azucena has a swimsuit outfit so no they haven't removed them.
