I suspect that puts Steve in the "not super strong" tier when it comes to my level of play and below. Relentless (and mostly mindless) aggression is incredibly effective when people aren't competent at punishing, which means rushdown characters can get away with things they absolutely shouldn't. This doesn't mean his toolkit is weak, just that it's not especially exploitative of the weaknesses of intermediate/lower levels of play.
But are panda and kuma more feasible now? They've always been more like "joke" characters but I've always loved playing them non the less, but never as my mains and just wondered how they are on T8 and how viable they are
I'm guessing they're like considered low tier by the community?
Ya I've not seen many people talk about them which makes me feel they're also either mid or maybe even low tier
I've never liked Steve personally ever since T4, I've hardly ever picked him but I've had friends in the past that have kicked my ass using him, I feel like it's the sort of fighter that can be good if you know how to use it, kind of like how I feel with yoshi
