IE if the Tekken shop is purely cosmetic stuff, and at a reasonable low price.
While I don't personally love MTX storefronts by any stretch, these kind of things allow game developers (like artists, animators, 3d riggers etc) to continue to have day jobs in the industry supporting these games.
So if the cash shop doesn't feel abusive in its pricing and they continue to add cosmetics that can be purchased with the in-game currency then I don't think it's a big deal.
What is the worst possible scenario and what is the most realistic one?
Example: "gOlDeN kAzUyA sKiN for 1.99 or 1 million Fight Money BUY NOW!!!11"
My hope is that they'll sell costumes.
Because if they're selling costumes, they'll have an incentive to MAKE more costumes.
Agreed. For a game I play all the time and for someone who loves costumes (bring back Paul's classic outfit), I'd gladly pay for it.
