How does Tekken Power/Prowess Work

I go on and win 4 times in a row and im on a win streak and for some reason my Tekken Prowess is decreasing each game, is this feature bugged or am i being dumb

Ranking up helps but I don't think it's the only metrics. My prowess is lower than almost anybody in my rank and many people on lower rank.

isn't prowess combined with all your characters?

seems to be a score related to how well you play in matches and not so much about the victory. better offense / defense gets higher score despite the rank.
