Hello everyone, and Hiya Lei players.
We all are missing our character from tekken 7. The question i wanna ask you all, and even to people whom their main wasn't chosen for tekken 8 : who is your new character ?

Personally, i'm lucky enough to have my second character i used to play in 7. I'm actually playing Leo. But the adaptation is hard. I don't believe i will get out of red rank and i miss Lei so much. I never strived to be the best player, i just want to fool around and lei on the ground like i used to.

So tell me how did you convert in this game, and if like me, you wish your old main back

I'm a big fan of Julia, Ganryu and Katarina and I've honestly just been spending most of my time on Tekken 7 because I haven't been able to find a main in Tekken 8.

I'm probably not the only one stuck in limbo and it sucks not being drawn to any characters on the new roster, because it feels like we're missing out on the hype but don't want to force ourselves to play something we don't genuinely like.

There are 33 characters in the roster. Pick one. I miss playing Gigas. There is no character with such a satisfying 1,2 punisher like Gigas' or far-range d/f1 poke. His gameplay, the counter-hits, staggered button pressing, no character is like that.

What I did was I picked a character and went with it. In the end of the day, the game is Tekken and Tekken 8 is awesome, and you are missing out on the hype. Start now, the roster is smaller, so learning match-ups is easier and people are still learning the new match-ups.

My choice was between Ling and Yoshi. Ling because of the kung fu aspect, Yoshi because of the troll aspect. I am glad I chose Yoshi in the end.

I'm playing Reina. She's got some stance based shenanigans, though I didn't really pick her looking to replace Lei. Just decided she looks cool and that it'd be fun to learn a Mishima while I wait for him.

Looking at Leroy next because badass old dude who'll ♥♥♥♥ you up with martial arts is the best trope.

I have a good friend in T7 who I used to spar with regularly - he was a Lei, and our sets were wonderful. He didn't make it over to 8 since nobody charmed him. :(

He does still load up T7 on most days though, so I assume games are still happening.
