What is happening.
I'm casual player, I mainly play Leo and Lidia, and I've notice the uproar within community. Streamers leaving, Pro players leaving, people moving to T7, boycotting T8 and saying Patch 2 is the nail to kill Tekken as franchise. And here I'm just... unable to grasp what is happening.

I've notice some characters being more strong and having strings I just don't know what to do, I'm only orange ranks Flame something, didn't played in while, came back for S2, but I've pointed it to just me being not good at game.

Can anyone explain to Casual, what is happening and why people are leaving and being mad?

casual explanation:
season 2 came with only BUFFS, no character was nerfed at all (except lee lmao he is dead)
and now all sense of balance in the game is lost, characters like bryan, jin, lidia, jack, paul, even Reina are doing ABSURD dmg now, so the game become more and more a 50/50 casino. the average experience is really frustrating for the enthusiast player who plays daily, cuz all the gameplay changed a bit too much.

KING, is rn the monarch of CARRIED KITTY and he can put u in a constant 50/50 status with his infinite jaguar sprints, he lost OKI but got a LOT of power against the wall, so fighting a king player rn feels really exhausting.

the developers overdid with the buffs and now all characters are incredibly busted, theres zero balance now.

ah yeah, lee is basically dead, they changed his gameplay too much, lee mains are on police watch cuz they will jump from a bridge at any moment, if u see discords full of lee players they are all crying really hard and in big part they are right, they spent a whole year learning a character (and even more years for veteran players) and they made lee into a stance character, so far thats what I have read on the forums, I am not a lee player, but I still leaving some flowers on his tomb, I enjoyed a lot fighting with lee previously.

Just finished labbing overview - there are tons of things that just break the game. Long story short if you play against a player who plays correctly into strenghts of his character the gameplay is just... nothing.

- Paul f1+2 and hatchet
- Zafina (this I call but not even balancing) b1+2 deletes tekken completely - only moves like paul f1+2 now compete with it
- Bear full reset combo / unbreakable wallsplat throw
- Lidia - is that reset on wall real?
- Jack GHOWL 2,1,uf1+2
- Jun ff1+2 (now she can run this into GEN 1 vs MIA 1+2) / MIA 2 and 1+2 both by themselves OP range and tracking - they delete neutral
- Eddy qcb4 range and frames - too easy approach / + too easy access to the -13 hellsweep from HSP now
- kaz ss1+2 lockdown ewgf and HS track / uf1 homing and pushback together with ff2 delete neutral
- Bryan unparriable fullscreen homing hatchet -12
- Clive qcf1 unblockable infinite reach / ff1+2 +4
- Claudio ff1+2 22chip
- DJ overbuffed MCR - can be spammed in neutral safely with bigger threats especially in heat / Heat HS for insane dmg
- Jin ff1+2 lockdown - same as ss1+2 kazuya / ZEN unnecessary cancer
- King the new string / sprint way too accessible in the buffed version + homing throws
- Lars wr1 homing fullscreen / b4 and df3,3 way too easy powermids / LEN way too accessible at +3 now 25dmg low WITHOUT HEAT
- Law - did he need that that homing rangy high uf2?
- Reina combo dmg 100 in the open or even like 120 with heatdash? Plus she was one of the few without braindead 50/50s now she has that in heat
- Shaheen I guess its not emergency but his stance is now mix stance / ss1+2 spammable +5
- Vic f1+2 +3 he now just spams f1+2 or wr2 for approach brainlessly
- Anna poison into heat into 1,2,1,2 - df1 or any poke or SS 1,2,1,2 chips you to death
- Alisa db4 easy powerlow with annoying unpredictable tracking / did she need that DBT f1+2 +7?
- Nina qcf1+2 = wr1+2 really? She can do that from df1 etc, buffed df1,2 they actually looked at df1,2 and thought it needs pressure buffs
- lili i13 +4 homing high/splat / qcf df3 i19 mix from everywhere
- raven (one of the most cancerous tbh) buffed fullscreen armor WHY?, BT d2 tracks swl +4/-12 into mix that loops into itself and other stances including FC HS / easy instant FC hellsweep with convenient quick dash in - he can sweep you from fullscreen and talking about fullscreen mix SZN homing launches now and SZN low is -14 this is insane
- Steve is a braindead LHT mix machine - no spacing, no timing just mash. ub2 / DCK f2 / PKB 2 +5 into i14 homing guaranteed on hit btw / that heat string
- Hwo d3+4 why give hwo homing low -13 and into stance plus on hit? Isnt the counterplay supposed to be movement? Hello?
- Leo (also one of the worst) i16 +4/-12 21dmg highcrush low from BOK and conveniently has buffed f2 string in heat into just that plus other easy setups; its so rangy you can legit go into BOK in neutral and just do it / b1,4 UNAVOIDABLE - THIS ONE IS BIG they dont get there was a reason for this - for long range poke into +8 mix should carry some risk - and there is -13 35dmg hellsweep from the stance in heat

Why would they add 50/50 even more to game? I was thinking heat was about 50/50 and securing combo, but in neutral? What happened to poking and neutral game?
neutral is pretty much dead, offensive and kbd is the only valid options rn

It happened because they wanted to make the game easier but they don't understand how to do it. They keep making attacking easier but that means they are making defending more imposible and frustrating.
If they wanted the game easier for new players they should find a way how to make blocking possible first.

With 105 hours, side-stepping was art in itself, I mostly tried to block, why would they kill side-step? it's veteran move, and important. It NEEDS to learn, Tekken is serious fighting game, it's weird they would leave it behind for ''new audience'' that will leave after 4-5 loses.

side step is hella nerfed this season, fight a lars and try to side step his brainrot, same with anna, they track a lot.
