Or you can break it with a throw or a low of you do your move first and are close enough.
It can also be side stepped with a good timing.
Moves that are Power Crush have an "amror" property during the move's startup animation, which means that even if you are hit during the move, it will not be interrupted like with regular moves, but will still take damage (with recoverable health)
However, this is only true if the move you're getting hit with while using a Power Crush is a high or a mid. If you are hit with a low or a throw during the startup animation, the Power Crush will be interrupted, and you'll take damag as normal.
Exception: Rage Art's armor property will not be interrupted even by lows or throws
I knew the basics of it, but didnt know about the the low/throw part. That's really good to know. Anyways, the main reason I posted this was because all my power crush moves that started at the same time or a frame or two later than his, mine lost completely
His power crush is very slow at i24~25 frames (it will hit on the 24th frame of the animatino, but it has 2 active frames, so if you're far enough, it could hit on frame 25 instead). If your power crush is i20, for example, and you start at the same time, you'll hit 5 frames before him, so since his startup animation is still going, he'll absorb the hit. Same thing if you start 1-3 frames later, you'll still hit before him, so he'll absorb the attack. And of course, same is true if you start a bit earlier.
But if you use your power crush for example 10 frames into his animation, you'll hit on frame 30 (relative to the start of his move), which is after the active frames on his power crush have passed. Therefore, you will absorb the attack and your power crush will win.
what's next, Yoshi is balanced and Jin is super difficult to play?
or Alisa is super fair and the chip damage is fine?
love the community.
I agree with you on the matter that although he is pretty much balanced, he extremely unfun to fight. I've had some intense matches with some pairs of fighters, most of them I lost to tell the truth, but they were really fun and some of them kept me on my toes, others made me clinch my *** with strenght I never knew I had. But NONE of them were against him, they are pretty boring to say the least
you sir have clearly lost a lot to him, haven't you? lol
ps: yes, wtf is wrong with alisa????? glad I hardly ever play against one, but omg wth is that????
ps2: chip damage exists since early 2000's on fighting games, get over it
But the problem is that ♥♥♥♥ has entire screen range and perfectly safe when spammed at range.
clive has godlike tracking, so you have to do a perfect sidestep to the weak side, even then it depends on the character you use, wether the sidestep is succesful or not.
* If it hits "High", it's usually safe but can be ducked and launched on a read.
* If it hits "Mid", it's usually unsafe, most times ranging from -13 to even -15.
* It loses to throws, lows, heat smashes and other armor moves / rage arts (given that you have enough health to survive the damage the armor absorbs).
Clive's does not adhere to these rules.
it's a safe armored move that cannot be low crushed because of the distance, and it's also safe because of the distance.
