What defensive options would you like to see for season 2 ?
Refrain from using "nerf tracking" and "buff sidestepping" as we know those need to be tuned anyways for all characters across the board with or without heat, the devs know that, because if we look at recent patches, they are nerfing tracking, examples including heat bursts, Dragunov b 4, 3, some heat smashes, Reina ff2, etc

1) Remove all tracking from Heat moves and rage arts
2) maybe defensive heat - if you don't use it, it blocks damage on red hp, including heat smash and rage arts, maybe even throws.

defense? who the ♥♥♥♥ uses defence in tekken 8? lmao
why should i bother with defense if i have characters like king that can power crush through everything.... characters like yoshi with instant parry into launcher...
and so on?

Heat chip dmg recovery could work at cost of its offensive use
remove of chip dmg as a whole.
literaly the only thing I would change in season 2 if I were a dev.

nothing else really, the "broken" characters are broken cuz of it.

1. I said refrain from nerf tracking, it's bound to happen soon or eventually.
2. It already is in the game it's just too quick to actively react to it.
For example, when u and your opponent mash heat burst or power armor, the last one to hit gets the advantage.

You do lose heat while dealing chip dmg? Only time it freezes is in combo.

I like the idea of chip damage but maybe nerf it a bit. It shouldn’t be 10x stronger than in SF6.
But I like the idea of grey, recoverable health from normal damage/combos.

I would like to see an option to use heat to simply recover the grey health. Full heat bar for full grey health. Not a tiny bit from a heat engager. Sacrifice better offence for health.

The biggest boost to defensive options would be a HUGE nerf to stupid offensive options that have no answers.

What i mean is instant recovery of your grey hp at the cost of heat with one button heat activation which would consume either all of your heat or part of it
I would also like to see the removal of 31251356 armor moves per character. King has so many armor moves that he can be called Armor King as of now. I don't want this kind of defense where people are just spamming power crushes no matter what the situation is.

Has been there since Tekken 7 along with rage art, doubt it's going anywhere...
Remove attack realignment so I can take peoples back more often.

I love that 50 damage

Its also a nerf to brainless spamming in the neutral.

The obvious (and valid) complaints aside i.e the ones you don't want to read..

I'd buff defense by adding a counter system (think DOA's holds) and a juggle breaker (think GG's roman cancel).

Both would help A LOT against all the mindless unga-bunga mashing i.e will require players to think, would ease up on the whole "stolen turns" issue, plus grant the players a chance to get back into the action, instead of just wasting time playing a turn-based online game, which has nothing to do with defense but is a plus.

The same could also be said for further wall breaks. Locking the opponent in the corner, in game such as this... That's dumb. You can't even guess what your opponent will do if you're locked. SF6 at least allows you to make decisions on the corner, no matter if they're right or wrong.

Removal of the CHUNK damage is a must, too. They need to nerf it a lot to make it fit for the word "chip".

idk about extra defensive options, i think we have enough options. But my biggest problem always was and remains the throwbreaks. i'd like them to stop using those 10 years old animations and make more readable 1,2, 1+2 animations. I trained in the lab for hours and I still can't react to the arms/chest posture online, especially at the angle. This doesn't have to be that difficult.

As far as chip damage and health recovery, I'm fine with it and I like this new feature. It nerfs turtles, and we had enough backdashing-and-CH-fishing turtles in T7, that was just boring.

What I'd change about heat is to remove the bound from heat bursts (generic 2+3). I don't like that it's used for extending combos. Combos are long enough already. With this added bound it's just too ez to take the opponent to the wall. This should go.

Defensive options are fine. I want them to fine tune low risk high reward moves to do less damage. And nerf some hit boxes that aren't supposed to hit you when you're on the side or at the back.

hopefully homing projectiles for everyone so I can "actively defend" from fullscreen
