Of course, practice.

Dpad is tuff.

Do you know how to wave dash with dpad?

I can do electrics on dualsense pad, but I’m not very consistent, I use electrics more in heat since u get the “easy” electrics.

Either way if you can wavu with either dpad or joystick you will have the main movements for the electric, youll just have to match the timing with your 2.

If you can consistently get wgf youll be even better.

First get your fingers and hands a bit warm; it's hard to do elecs with freezing hands (from personal experience)

Don't try to do elecs fast, focus on precision. The electric input is to press df + 2 at the same time. Press f, n, d and then df:2. One advice that was useful for me was to press 2 right after pressing d (and as you're preparing to press df): when you press d, press 2 and then df. This is because pressing 2 takes longer than pressing df, because to input df you just have to move your thumb which is already on d.
Make sure to press them both at the same frame tho.

very true, even if the input says press 2 after the d, when I press 2 while pressing D I get more consistent neutral electrics.

Its a just frame your supposed to match the timings
DS4 and axbox Series X have great D-pad, but I prefer DS4 because its a bit easier to press buttons in general

my elecrtrics seems to work in 3/5 attempt at the moment from ypu guys tips, tried both xbox x series d-pad and joystick. Which means muscle memory for the rest for my electric journey.

Thanks for the tips tekken fighters !
real gamers plays only on keyboard.
With the change they did in Tekken 7 where you now only have to push df and 2 on the same frame it's a lot easier. I think all the Mishimas (maybe not Kazuya?) also now have the shortcut f,n,d/f+2 input which makes timing it much better. On Reina you can autotime it with some of her stances that transition into cd, e.g. 1+4~df+2 can be electric, u/b+1+2~df+2 can be electric, and so on.

But it's mostly down to practice rather than there being a specific trick.

You can do f n df+2 to do electrics with Kazuya as well as other Mishimas, although I've noticed the electric timing is lenient for some Mishimas.
For example, I did a couple electrics with Kazuya with upto 6 frames between f and df+2 but DVJ/Heihachi drop it and do normal df2 if it goes more than 5.

I can semi-consistently pull it off with a basic Xbox One gamepad's Dpad, and I'm not even a Mishima player, I just sometimes play Reina or Kazuya for fun against friends. So yeah, it's very possible.
You can electric on pad no problem. The series S/X pads are super easy to do it with. As for how it's done? It's quite literally just practicing, lol

I wish their was an answer that would make it easier, or make you have to practice less.
It took me 4+ years to be able to wavedash effortlessly, and I'm still improving my ability to utilize it well.
Out of all the different controllers out there, I promise DS4/DS5 is a very good option for Mishimas. You got this!
