Why do people hate waifus in Tekken 8?

So I can understand in Tekken 7 because it seemed like they were either OP or extremely annoying. In Tekken 8 tho I barely fight them. I’d rather fight any female character like Ling than a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ Kazuya or Steve for the billionth time.

no idea, I like playing girls matchups, mostly lilis, my eyes are pleased when I fight lilis, they always have the best costumes, I really lost sometimes cuz of it.

at this point I enjoy doing more costumes than fighting in this game.

damn good point actually,never thought about it before but everyone is so retarded in this game that waifus are not even that specifically annoying to me anymore.

They used to be considered more gimmicky overall than male characters in T7 (more evasive, string heavy, knowledge-checky movesets... but that's just a generalization).
Unjustified hate in T8 tho, as everybody is unga now

But then you also have a medieval swordsman in the same game as a bear that can do electrics and an old man that relies purely on Wing Chun lol

I personally don’t like the design of some waifus and how generic their moves look.
I do play Alisa but I don’t like her design and some of her animations. I would prefer the same character as a Brayan style cyborg psycho with chainsaws. It would make visualy more sense why he is always plus on block and do 50% damage from a 3s combo.
