However, I also believe that a gamepad is better for this game due to how good extra binded buttons are.
I would suggest to mod your arcade stick and make it leverless though.
Agree about getting a leverless set-up though, especially if accuracy is an issue(as it was for me). I rarely have that problem now with an all-button. Just feels a million times better on all fronts.
what size is the oversized actuator you are using if you are using one? I added a 2 lbs spring to the octagonal gate today and am also toying with the idea of installing a new actuator. by the way, I use the standard Sanwa stick that comes with the Nacon Daija Series X model
not to mention muscle memory. I've been playing with a controller for about 30 years now. with this arcade stick it's just like starting from 0. but I like that feeling
u can use the sanwa without the gate?
never tried modding mine like that
I don't use Sanwa any more. I've switched to Hayabusa for my main stick with custom rounded octagonal gate (octopus gate by kowal). It feels similar to Sanwa and they both share some parts like actuators. I don't remember if I've changed that. I've tried many stuff including building my own sticks and hitboxes.

I also use silent version of Sanwa buttons. I like using stick for SF6 and VF but I prefer a gamepad for Tekken.
