When do they add Mokujin?
To Tekken 7, or 8, doesn't matter. Tekken 7 is done, gonzo, played through. When will they add the wooden warrior?
I haven't tried to learn every character since he's been in the games. I'd say this has hurt my edge competitively as a [redacted] that tends to play the game raw rather than referring to frame data to learn characters and responses.
I haven't felt inclined to learn the basics of every character since Tekken Tag 2... WHY? Because it made Mokujin more fun to play.
Mokujin is Tekken, Tekken 3 was the first good Tekken because it had Mokujin... and better mechanics than the first two, but also mostly because of wood man.

Probably when they actually learn how to use UE, which is likely never.
Never.
1) Hardest character to make
2) Have to update every time new character adds to a roaster
3) Will be banned in competitive play because of his nature
Requires loading new character data in between rounds that obviously slows down the game

Not going to happen. Character got ditched for a good reason

I believe the issue lies with Bamco's current lack of competence, rather than the points you mentioned.
Because
1)They managed to accomplish this over 30 years ago with Tekken 3.
2)This is a standard procedure in every online competitive game today, there's nothing groundbreaking they need to figure out.
3)Mokujin wasn't officially banned by Namco, it was just excluded in some tournaments based on the organizers' decisions.

The time required for Mokujin to load a character's data has not been an issue since T6/TTT2.
In fact, it was never a problem since TTT1, where Unknown doesn't even change character data between rounds but within the rounds themselves.

Tekken 3 & Tekken 8 animations, graphics uncomparable. What could be made in a week, now requires months of work and polishing before release. Now imagine they have to while developing a new character adjust/test how it works on mokujin. We either get increased price for all upcoming dlc characters by 50-100% or no mokujin at all

Graphics is out of the equation, its just data. But by listening to you, i wonder how the hell they pulled that off in the TTT2 era.

Is he like a mixture of alll characters or something? I only played Tekken 3 so I have no idea what was he like in other games...

Pasta is right. Why are some of you making fun of his takes?

Anyway. Two things that I hope for Mokujin:
1)Free DLC.
2)For him to become a final boss of a future title. If TK8 doesn't murder the franchise, that is.

Times were simpler back then. I bet large factor is game was already complete on release and they used their in house engine

Times surely weren't simpler, now its simpler, an engine that does everything for you. And we reached the same conclusion, where they don't know how to use UE.
bruski just get the mod

Misaligned hitboxes by using height to change characters styles on top of bulbous hands that don't have a proper shape.
They're more interested in adding guests characters than adding mokujin...
