Cheating
Had very nice pleasure of fighting 30+ wins Vanquisher Lee from Russia, that did 3 perfect rounds, blocked everything I did, and did max punish on everything. Even game itself didn't knew what to teach me from replay. Blocking Low on my input is cherry on cake.

Is cheating often? This is my first time meeting cheater that's 100% obvious once you see replay and his ''input''

Frequency of encountering cheaters probably depends a lot of what region you're playing in and at what rank. Unfortunately Bandai-Namco doesn't seem to care too much about this and I'm largely fine with that as no one who cheats in a 1v1 game like this is worth worrying about and any attempts at anti-cheat stuff would, given implementations in similar titles, probably do more harm than good (kernel level nonsense or similar) without actually solving the cheating problem because they don't know how to. Usually best to just block them and move on.
Yes cheating does happen and is often apparent.

If your fighting someone and they duck every high option without conditioning there probably cheating.

If you input a oki option to a downed opponent on replay and you see a db input when there down its probably cheating.

Frame 1-2 constant blocks as well probably cheating.
Show replay, it sounds more like a smurf at those ranks

Real hardcore scripts using cheaters are rare.
You can tell if someone is cheating if they duck at the first frame and it feels like you control their character.

It’s also extremely powerful so it’s more common at the highest ranks and even then streamers rarely find one. And they do try to spot cheaters as they get tons of views of them.

Console players can’t use such cheats at the moment. PC cheaters almost 100% of the time have private steam profile.

consoles can run cheats and cheaters are prevalent at all levels of play.

I think it’s common for few players to cheat.

The problem cheating in a game like this is that you already have auto-combos and comeback mechanics. Tekken 8 takes away control from the player enough as it is.

I actually made my own macro (just frame wavu so it’s useless) for Tekken 8 on my keyboard to just to try it out and… it didn’t make the game any better.

Like I said, the game takes control away from the player enough as it is. Why do people cheat? I have no idea. I guess for the feeling of accomplishment?

Ps5 and Xbox series can’t use such scripts. Only controller scripts that people use for Gran Turismo to repeat races endlessly for money.
As soon as you mod current consoles you can’t play online. So you can’t install mods or scripts on consoles itself.
you meet cheaters from time to time. It is usually Laws and Kazuyas for me, not sure why, but I guess it doesn't matter it could be any character.

All you can do is block them and move on, they can always make other accounts but at least it can delay you meeting another one.
