How many characters will Tekken 8 have?

Tekken 7 had 51. What do you guys think? How many will Tekken 8 have? The game currently has 36 characters. If they stick to 4 DLC characters per season formula, we might get 48 characters in 2027. Tekken 9 will be released on Playstation 6, that's what Harada said. And the release date for Playstation 6 is 2027 or 2028.

I do genuienly believe that, given all the insane ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ knowledge checks, the game would benefit greatly from having a smaller roster. of course the devs have kind of navigated themselves in a corner because no matter which characters they were to leave out, the outcry would be massive. can't really win.

It will be less since both SF6 and Tekken have reduced the release of characters per year to four.
Tekken 8 will live until 2028, which is sad, only 4 years. I was hoping for 7 years with content expansion.

Not enough OG characters, that's for sure. We could've gotten Armor King but they gave us the FF16 clown. I bet there will be more characters that don't belong in Tekken.

What if Sony go bankrupt and PS6 never come to be?

Besides the PS5 was released in 2020, Tekken 8 was released only in 2024. If the PS6 releases in 2028, T9 may as well release as far as 2032.
