Who will be the next top tier characters in this game?
Let's assume that there will be no major buffs to any character at all in the first major balance patch of season 2 and only nerfs, If the current top-tier characters eventually get nerfed, who do you think will rise as the next top tier?

Current top-tiers are: Nina, Yoshi, Jin, Dragunov, Alisa, Clive, Shaheen, Claudio, Feng
and I guess King or Law could be the 10th

Please, argument your answer.

Lee is close leo kuma (hilarious) kazuya and likes of them would jump from A+ to S all depends on types of nerfs and how it would affect matchups

I will bet 10€ for Jin just getting a slap on the wrist and still be a broken character. He is still the main character of the game.

Where Kuma? he's showing top results online and in tourneys.

King in tops though? naah.. iirc TheJon accidentally won something and everyone was running around screaming "omg best king in the world!!!". But I never liked his gameplay and wasn't surprised that he disappeared and hasn't won anything since then.

Same with Jin. Everyone says OP, but where are the wins?

Anyway, if people you listed are seriously nerfed, I can imagine characters like Zafina, Bryan, Victor, Xiaomi and even Lili will dominate. Why? idk, because they are pretty good.
T7 pretty clearly proved that Bandai-Namco have no idea how to balance Feng so I'll assume he'll still be quit good in S2. Yoshi is sufficiently complex that I also don't have a great deal of faith in BN dumpstering him. I also wouldn't be surprised if Victor, Reina and Shaheen get some highly unecessary buffs. I'm also in agreement with Jin most likely just getting a slap on the wrist.

When will you people learn that results does not equal character strength. Kazuya would be D tier considering results but he is Strong A/A+ tier

if a character has a high win rate online and consistently places in top8's, it objectively shows that he's very strong. You can assign Kazuya (or anyone else) any place in your personal tier list, but this is just your subjective opinion. Yes, he may be very strong in theory, but when it comes to practice something doesn't work.

Can someone explain why Jin is one of the bottom characters by online winrate, and why he never won a tournament if he's so broken? Something doesn't add up..

Cause his players nerf him. He was dumbed down and made a poster boy so more people play him which don't know how to play tekken at all (same with kazuya but he is actually hard not autoplay like jin and still jin does not perform as bad as him when we look at statistics)

And no matter how dumbed down character is tekken is still a hard game so if you are bad then you are going to lose

yeah this explains Jin and Kazuya terrible online stats. In god+ ranks though, Clive has almost the same pick rate, but he's in top 3 while Jin's in the bottom 4. So this doesn't really work in god ranks.

As far as tournament meta, this also stops working, because all pros are super good. Jin mains like CBM, Book, Raef won a few minor events, but not a single major. They sometimes end up in top4 but always struggle to beat Ninas, Fengs, Dragunovs etc. The same can be said about Alisa.

So you can't put him at the very top tier, he's almost there but not quite there.

Let's see what pro players think.

JoKa put king in top 10: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=osrq8CO1tEE
Anakin put king in top 10: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TBFMhh0TtXw
Super Akouma put king in top 10: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SQid-f8_M1Y

There are also people Like Arslan Ash and Rangchu who put king near top 10, and that is because the other characters are way to broken, if it wasn't for certain of them, they would've 100% put him in the top tiers.

Now, let's see what tekken influencers/people with a high rank think.

The_Buff_Guy put king in top 10: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jcZ8G1GTWW4
Main Man Swe put king in top 10: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vtl45TymEzA
The Keyboard Warrior put king in top 10: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o0jg4woJ5hs
BlackHeart59, a guy with every character to God of destruction put king in top 10: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_5XJ6Agzm0A

A lot of people think he's to strong because he has damaging throws with a good counter hit game, powerful mixups, His heat smash is also good, either takes like around 40% of your health, or puts you into a strong mixup, he has a good 13f ch confirmable launcher and ff,n,2 is pretty much a perfect low because hits from down town, gives massive + frames on hit, does solid damage normally and you get an unbreakable throw on ch and it's only -14. His wavedash was made much easier now which allows him to actually do strong throw mixups between Shining Wizard and Giant Swing.
