TEKKEN 8

TEKKEN 8

View Stats:
We did it!
The community showed them any backlash with patches will be a level of 9.5 magnitude of Karen cancel culture, so its doubtful they will care much at Namco as Tekken is now officially

A high Risk venture for future investors who don't know much about games, but they do like seeing profits from Namco..

I guess congrats peeps..!
Couldn't have done it without tricking fake celebs, and a wave of angry trolls clicking yes. And riling unemployed joy-streamers using same game win strats EZ gg as a self employed foundation..

Give a hand to the boycott success ! ! !

Where if looking at the track record of Tekken arcade before
..
Waiting just shy of 3 years would have seen improvements similar to T7 2015-2017
as that's been the track record for 30 YEARS that brings success to Tekken while in 1-2 year Jjapan exclusive ONLY arcade testing.

Which sadly Namco sKIPPED, so share in the fun Eastern exclusive joy that the West demanded back in 2015-2016 when we didn' get Tekken 7..

But we all really wanted to dive in THE fabled EARLY BUILD!

But that total lack of patience, really showed Namco! not to shovel their money near fighting games, and to focus on Phone Games and reselling the IP's like mascot trading gatcha making actual bank back!

We are at proud odds VS the high risk business venture of trying to appease a unstable mob filled with 1/2 truths, trolls, echo chambers and bitter fan's who never thought of why Japan plays T3 4 T1 5 6 T2 7 for 2 years in japan first!

But Namco's generosity to allow T8 into the global wild, certainly and equally paid off.

Thank you children of tomorrow, I can't wait for the next patch to ecstatically motivate another 5 thousand people!

And I'm sure you have shown Namco Who's boss, is the player!

Certainly the Western Markets, and the future of Smart Low Risk Marketing..

:awoo:

* I noticed it may be too much wall of text .. so here is a Simplified version, to we show we care ! *

The Tekken community reacted strongly to updates.
This made Tekken look risky to investors who care mainly about profits.

Some promotions felt misleading.
Online pressure, quick reactions, and streamers using the same wins added to the issue.

Normally, Tekken improves over 2–3 years in Japan arcades first.
This time, that process was skipped.

Western fans got early access—but it came at a cost.
Now, Namco might shift focus to mobile games and safer money-makers.

Trying to please a loud online crowd is risky.
Still, the community’s voice shaped what happens next.

:poemg:
* TLDR *

Some people were not happy with the game.
They said, “This is too fast!”

The game needed more time to get better.
But it came out early.

Now, the game makers might make phone games instead.
That feels easier for them at Namco.

People’s voices helped.
But let’s wait and play kindly next time.

Keep it civil and within Topic's

And considering you ignored everything I said and jumped straight to attack my profile, shows that everything I said is correct and true

If i never complained, then I wouldn't bring up season 2
I complained on the people pushing beyond what is needed to send a memo to namco to fix something.

Thats what I complained on Mobility was stiffer in S1 but was better than T7 by far.

I read what you said and you put your own spin on what I said long ago.

I didn't "attack" your anything, I just showed where you were projecting since you did not describe me at all.

"The term Glazing, suggests that the praise is not genuine and might be done to gain favor or attention"
Why do you continue to ignore everything I said and use slanderous ad hominem attacks. (look up ad hominem)

Yep. This couldnt have possibly be a bigger success.

I am still highly skeptical but who knows, with some luck people might actually return to T8 and amco can milk it for years and years.

Doubt it though.

It would have been safer with a simple message from everyone of the people who didn't like the changes posting a reply non violent, non harassing, of what they didn't like of the changes but no they had to go extreme war.

And after this patch its kind of clear they are having second thoughts on S3 and S4 and might wrap it up as S1-2 whch with Nikolas they certainly can.

And then fix things for T9 which was the OG plan for T7 to only do 1-2 seasons in a worse case scenario ..

The issue isn't the backlash, its the amount of backlash is so overwhelming that all the trolls who hated Tekken are also present, all the people who liked SF6 but own Tekken 8 are also included, there is no way to tell if its Just Tekken 8 S1 Tekken in general, trolls, or the actual season 2.
Tekken 7 was made with relatively low budget, no? And it was the most selling game in the franchise.
Tekken is still a brand with loyal fans so I doubt they won't make t9 in future, even if would be low budget game in comparisson to t8. It's not like there is a big competition in 3d fighter space (but VF6 now has a big chance to shine).

But actually whatever. If they can't make a tekken game that majority of customers would like to play then why customers should care about their financial status.

yea thats what scares / Worries me they may have been trying to ride the DEI kickbacks from investors.. That would explain their confidence in high risk capital .. In all honesty I blame CEO downfall on lazy pay for statistics vs actual dirt crawling looking into community to see what makes people happy. I'd never trust polls due to trolls, and I'd never ever trust google search data cause it's neutral not one side or the other. But that is the issues when dealing with AAA they get lazy af..

And putting that much capital in projects imo is reckless imo.. AAA should always test the waters and ramp up the offerings so they can push and pull back idea pools in real time to avoid risk by going too big.

The long and short is you don't want to spook investors, you want to inform the developers..

I still don't get why they added more health instead of just fixing the fall rate per hit and work on damage scaling.

bigger health + Timer same = not good look

Don't care. Next time these morons will learn to listen to customers and stop doing "cool looking" stupid moves that break the game. Or they will go bankrup and go away. Virtua Fighter is coming and Tekken can die if they don't learn to do things better.

How did they think it was a good idea in the first place? Totally baffles me.

yeah, with a dmg reduction for the combos, we would be gucci, cuz the annoying part of fighting a paul or a bryan is the unreal combo dmg they get, besides that, the game basically is the same.

Tekken cant live if no investors care to help it..

Isn't this game technically a success? Granted I'm not sure what's known about the sales figures nor the income from microtransactions but I thought they stated that it sold higher than expectations
I'll wait till mid may patch to see if the direction is satisfactory or not.
This emergency patch isn't doing much, game is still dumb.

It crossed the 3 million sales mark, which is good for a fighting game, but not so great for a "AAA" game.

They really need it to go over 10M over the course of it's lifetime, the way that T7 did, but there's no way people are sticking around that long if they can't turn the ship around.
