But yea, some consistency would be nice, cause the lore and the stories bewilder me sometimes. But then again, I'm not expecting Shakespeare from a fighting game story - just good mechanics and good balanced game play please!
The only thing that matter in a fighting game, is who win and who bite the dust !
Besides, their gameplay is only similar. It's not the same thing. Reina has more in common with Lidia than Heihachi.
But to be fair since T1 Heihachi has had a pet bear, T2 has a kangaroo & a dinosaur with boxing gloves, Alisa exists, fighters keep coming back to life... I don't think the story was ever remotely trying to be good. The T4 "stupid woman!" ending with Julia is my fav lol.
