Resolution problem in windows 11
Hi folks
I had this stupid problem :\
My setup:
Samsung G7 4K.
Asus VG24QE (1080p)
Nvidia 4070(base)
Windows 11
I have this weird problem where the screen, un windows, nvidia control panel and in the game is set to 1440 but for some reason the monitor reports 4K and every time I click/change focus to other app (OBS, Discord etc) the game flickers the screen and its reealy annoying. some windows alerts trigger this too (new pad/stick conected via usb)

the game is set to 1440P, full screen 100% scale (no dlss) and I tried to cange it to window but it only flickers the screen and does nothing

any help will be apreciated.

Set high dpi settings in properties of games .exe file according to application and game will run in 1440p. I dont know how to fix the flicker though.

mm god one, thanks
the flicker (screen going blank and coming back) is bc the resolution change.
I will test it tonight. thanks

are u using a Gsync monitor? sometimes some apps flickers with Gsync, for me, if I activate gsync while using photoshop it starts having those mini flickers, only disabling gsync fixes it for me.

also, check if u are not using Gsync in window mode

The problem persist. when the game have focus, its 4k and w/o focus its 1440p,
according to the monitor display info
kill the gsync in nvidia control panel

screen still goes from 4k with focus to 2k with no focus. but the time the monitor does this was reduced in half at least.

check adjust size and desktop position in nividia control panel it might be fighting the default res vs the forced scaling

It's probably due to how the borderless presentation mode works now. Think of it as running 1440p but in a 4k container. I just tested and the delay is definitely due to the resolution switching as I normally run the game at 4k native and there is no delay but there is if i set in game to 1440p. Not really sure why you wouldn't just play at 4k I mean pretty sure a 4070 can handle that. If you really have to just run the game with DLSS I mean I know TSR can look sharper but its got to look terrible when you are scaling a resolution that isn't divisible by 4k.

I had the same issue, I somehow solved it. It's a little weird but it works

first go to your library, right click on tekken 8, then go to properties
Then in the launch option add -windowed
Then launch again, it'll again flicker
Then alt + tab to move it out of focus
You'll be able to navigate the menu
If it again flickers alt + tab again
Go to the settings and change resolution to out monitor resolution

Now this issue won't come again
