Leroy feels like the worst character in the game

He just has the worst tools compared to any other character. Awful heat engages, all his multi punches use bar, bad heat smash.
He has about 3 tracking moves, B + 4, B+3 and Hermit B+4. But no one respects hermit and his mixup from it arent good as they are all too slow to do much with regarding the mids.
Combos go off axis and drop fairly often unless you go for the lower damage options. A useless DF+1, sure his lows are fine but like 50% of the time DB+3 doesnt counter hit when it should.

Feels like they were so scared of him being decent like in T7 that he just has to be bad on all fronts.

There are no terrible characters in this game. They’re all incredibly viable in the right hands

his df1 being -7 is a joke. not worth playing him at all for that reason alone.

I’m aware, any character can be taken to any rank. Like Panda has been a TWT champ with Rangchu.

Yeah and his B+3 feels like a joke. One of his like 3 +frame moves but it’s a high, slow and it forces stance.
While drag and feng got moves that are quick, mid and force nothing on them.

True. Some nerfs to top chars and we are good. Just give the man his df1 back.

It’s crazy to think there are people who actually think the bears are bad characters in Tekken 8

They do insane damage, have an actual broken wall combo and have cheesy unblockable set ups

Tekken 8 is full of people who just love to downplay their characters. I keep hearing that Asuka is bad too. I’ve seen some really scary Asuka players, nothing wrong with her

Quite a lot of complains come down to the comparison to the higher tiers of characters and their tools. Like with Leroy, his tools are pretty horrible compared to the rest of the cast, and bears are usually the same. Their base tools aren’t usually the best and they are much bigger targets. But since people just don’t know the matchup they can get away with nearly anything.
Also don’t really see any Asuka, don’t really know anything apart from her chargeable rage art which is pretty silly.

Leroy has the range of an Ant in a game with chars that have moves that are teleported ICBMS from another Planet.

Example, Demon Paw.

DVJ Heat Smash.

Dragonuv Wr2/Axe kick heat engager.

Azu WR 3,2

Claudio Wr2.

etc.

Other issue is at CQC he is outshined by any char with good CQC. Aka Jin for example with just 2,1,4 being solo better than Leroys entire kit.

His parry is gutted.

His keepout is gutted.

His Cane move was gutted.

Man he got nothing but some 0.1 version Of Hwoarang D3,4 gameplay.

Ha ha, the good news is you're not the first to post about Leroy being nerfed. Maybe they will fix him if he's popular enough. Again, I will play him eventually. Very cool character, love his line "I had no choice"
