I am lucky also in that I don't need to "adapt". I can only enjoy or move on. Those pros and streamers need to "adapt". I don't have to ruin my hobby.
Edit: Typos.
Here it's a forced oonga boonga playstyle. Barely any neutral. Knowledge checks and the abuse of broken 50/50 dictate the game more than any resemblance of skill.
really, if u dont enjoy tk8, isnt going back to 7 the best option?
people will only stick with tekken 8 for the greaphics not for the gameplay, until the new Vf comes out , then it's goodbye tekken
why shouldn't VF compete with tekken ? are you so scared of a fighting game that requires skill and doesn't hold your hands ?
fighting game enthusiasts love high skill ceiling they don't like scrubbery, this is why VF coming back will bury tekken 8 into the ground
all VF needs to bury TEKKEN is awesome graphics and clean skill based gameplay, VF is the granddaddy of fighting games TEKKEN is just a scrubby rip off of VF
the only reason VF died is because it is managed by an incompetent company
The reason most people are stuck at or before red is because they don't care to learn to play against the new system. They just want it removed. But ask anyone Mighty Ruler and beyond, and they'll tell you relying on 'scrubbery' isn't a winning formula against people who know how to play the game.
I actually agree with inconsistent hit detection and stage hazards both being kind of annoying. Not knowing whether my aerials are going to land the same way they did the last 15 times I did it, or totally whiff out of seemingly nowhere is not a good time now that I'm contesting Fujin.
However, it definitely does take a good measure of skill to get to purple and beyond. My favorite characters in this game are the same as they've been all the Tekken series: Eddy and King. Characters who, in this game, are pretty disliked and constantly being called broken. And even they aren't the easy path people Red and below seem to think they are. Once you get out of red, it really doesn't matter who you're playing. If the execution and attention aren't there, you're not winning.
Dead serious, but dead wrong. Either way, practice low parries and punishes so you can stay alive.
