Outplaying your opponent is LITERALLY means reading him and using the appropriate counterplay. Did you though outplaying your opponent meant playing more time than your opponent?
"The game is a 50/50 casino! What were the devs thinking!" - Tekken youtubers after 2 months
Tekken players called DOA an inferior 3d fighter because it's gameplay boils down to rock paper scissors. For this reason alone(if we ignore the lewd factor of the game), DOA will never be a true competitive game.
Now Tekken is more rock paper scissors than DOA.
Many of the stage mechanics are ripped off from DOA 6 as well.
This situation is absolutely hilarious.
Think the point is that namco has removed alot of this counter play that you have mentioned (lars changes in the recent patch a perfect example) the bottom line is namo has made this more of a 50/50 game than ever before.
I feel like they're try to kill this game like Soul Calibur
That speaks volumes about you as an insanely bad player.
This game died because its core was very weak and that was evident in the first week.
lets not forget they both Bandi
So I'm going to take your lack of a response as a no.
Soulcalibur is dead because that game sucks. It's not a matter of debate, it's a fact.
Soulcalibur was reminiscent of For Honor when it first released, where heroes with long weapons only won because they had a longer weapon than the enemy. A big axe? Means the character will be insanely slow to strike. A short weapon? Means he's going to attack really fast. It's the most boring design you can think of. It felt just as bad in combat.
Soulcalibur wasn't even saved by the bland eroticism.
Soulcalibur is a great example of how not to make games in this genre. And you should be happy about it because people have shown their attitude towards a bad and lazily made game.
