that's how you deal with wavedashing mishimas, insta jab check, hopkick , d1, something , i main Feng so i just b1 the f out of them when they try that ♥♥♥♥ with me and they never do it again
wavedash in your face is fake af
and when you eat a hellsweep don't immediately get up,
i can't stress enough how important it is to know when to get up, i win so many matches just by knowing when to stay down
Avoid being cornered at the wall is definitely key, as it has been said by Legendrake but very hard to do in small stages even if you sidewalk a lot. Yes his heat is super strong, so keeping your distance and waste a little time when he is in heat is probably advised if your char has a good keep out game.
I would say it depends on what character you play against him for more advices though I like the one to make him change sides, it is true that some players are clearly weaker on P1 or P2 side with electrics and wavedash.
If you have a character that can put him under a lot of pressure with safe pokes, it can be good IMO because if you let him apply his 50-50s and express himself, he can be very dangerous with his vortex casino flowcharts.
He has a 13 frames launcher though ( ws 1,2) so you have to be careful with your lows or whiffing highs, but his defensive options are not as good as many other chars in my opinion.
when you block a hellsweep you are meant to kill them for it , and at the center of the stage you'll get a full punish combo , but near the walls and in the corners you'll get screwed over by the bad angles and weird wall splats that always happens near the walls and they'll get away with it
that's why mishimas always prefer to hellsweep near the walls because it gives them infinite wall splats and you'll be stuck on the walls forever, and also because if you block it it's most likely you won't get a proper punish
i've seen it so many times where a guy blocks a hellsweep and he barely gets a proper punish because either the walls screwed him over or he wasn't ready and messed up his combo....i cringe real hard when i see this.... you NEED to know your hellsweep block punish combos, you're not allowed to screw those up
every time i see someone blocks a hellsweep and fails to properly punish it i'm like bruh uninstall the game , if the wall or bad angles didn't screw you over there's no excuses, if you can't punish a hellsweep i wouldn't trust you to buy me gum you're useless
Kazuya's concept as a character and allure is about having few moves but strong enough to kill the opponent real fast and hard, especially when the opponent doesn't know wtf he's doing ,
for those who are able to easily perform electrics decision making and strategy is out the window, you're just doing the move until the move lands then you do the combo , that's your only strategy and gameplan, he becomes braindead in terms of decision making , there's no decision to make , you do not think , you just do
this is why macro script cheaters like Fariborz prefer Kazuya instead of a character like Feng or Eddy where no single move is strong enough and safe enough to brainlessly be spammed without care , so you have to be more selective and careful which moves you use depending on every situation, therefore you have to strategize more than Kazuya
By the way, if you play Kazuya (doesn't even have to be your main. Just for research purposes) you'll notice that his arsenal haven't changed pretty much anything from the past games. He's one of those character that feels like they're not even made for the current game like, say, Leroy.
Unlike Leroy, Kazuya is strong, however and definitely has some good pressure and a solid defense.
