Are we gonna get a proper season pass?

Deluxe edition upgrade right now is more expensive than buying 4 individual characters. There should be some kind of discount for purchasing all of them. Its kinda goofy that they are charging more for stuff no one wants - that corny gold suit.

People seem to be assuming it'll come at some point later this year based on ??, but who knows.

But yeah same boat, saw the Lidia reveal, looked at the store... oh, no season1 character pass for say £10-£15, only a £40+ DELUXE SUPER PREMIUM gold-suit, avatar-jibberish, price-inflated-padded something-or-other.
So yeah, it's like they're stuck 5 years in the past, maybe they decided their business model that long ago xD

Further, the inability to buy exactly enough pretend-coins for the battlepass too further diminishes good will, and is similarly delusional.

If not for those 2 factors I suspect this would be an overwhelmingly positively reviewed game on steam based on the recent-review contents there.

Honestly I wouldn't mind the battle pass that much if it was like you said, buy the exact amount of coins. This is just predatory, which sucks because I like the game as a whole from the little I have played so far.

Yeah! Definitely, it's not like the battle pass is much money, just that you can't just buy it on it's own, same with the season1 characters not being buyable as just a standalone season1 pass yet, same sort of business approach I guess. I think people like feeling savvy about their purchases, and even want to give more if they feel goodwill or want to support, but this is like... it's like not a huge deal but also kinda is just unnecessarily spiteful? Something like that.

Initially I was just glad they let you earn the coins back from it, unlike your diablos, etc of the world lately 😆 what a time!

(and same, this is the first Tekken I really gave a chance since 3, and I'm reeeally enjoying learning it more and more as I get more into it, so it's a bit worrying about all this other unnecessary stuff!) xD

It scares new players away too, they go "eww" and don't engage :/

100%. Personally I am a massive Final Fantasy XIV player, been at it since like.. 2012 or so, I forgot, it's been a... while lol. But I always take that game as an example of a case where I am so satisfied with the constant support and care that the devs put in, that I do not mind going out of my way to grab a few cosmetics I like to support them further.

Clearly there is someone up the chain of command that doesn't understand how powerful it is when a company cares for its playerbase.
