Zafina is the worst character in Tekken 8

Title says it all. She's my favorite character gameplay wise, but she's the worst one to attempt to climb with.

No range on moves that really should have it
Low damage
No frame advantage
Slow stances
If any of her main moves are blocked, everyone gets a free combo on her
0 Pressure
Purely Whiff Punishes and Knowledge Checks
Reduced frames from t7 to the point she has 0 reason to be in this game with everyone else being boosted heavily
Her heat doesn't do anything besides make her NOT damage herself when doing sub-par moves


Even with the up-incoming changes, I can't see her being good, especially since everyone else is getting buffed alongside her. 90% of her moves, when she hits with them, still don't give her frame advantage nor any decent combo routes. Her max reliable damage is around 65-75, 85 if you're lucky and hit a counter move that leads into a good combo, since half of her launches lead into horrible combos. I have never seen such a bad character in a fighting game with 0 redeeming qualities.

Easy way to fix her, make all of her stance changes take far less time, make her azazel moves not even cost hp at base and have them be super plus on block when in heat, and lastly, make her moves actually not whiff when they go through opponents.

I just rage quit a match for the first time ever due to the fact that she just has nothing to work with, while I watched every other character gain a bunch of pressure by doing basic strings and moves. She's fun to play as, but she just isn't viable right now if you're fighting someone of equal or better skill.

I have approx. 2000 matches in Tekken 8 and saw Zafina like 3 times.

That's the issue, when you're up in Garyu or later, you just deal with people who actually know her enough to block her, and once someone passes the knowledge check against her, it's over. She has no way to apply pressure at all. Unlike most other characters that can take advantage of frame positive moves on block, she has very few and they all are obvious or not spammable.

Yep in one week, you will have threads complaining about how OP she is :D

The new buffs are really insane, she will now have amazing pressure. Shadow20z was already a menace with her in tournaments, but now I expect her to be played more and do some serious damage in the pro scene.

Maybe Arslan may even use her again, curious to see that ( because of the hard nerfs on his Azucena ).

Nice insults, nothing to back it up though. Many people who are pros at the game are saying the same things I am. She's a ruined character compared to her in t7, and no, I've labbed her out. She has barely any frame advantage moves on BLOCK, because that's what I said. If anyone blocks her moves, that's it. But in general, she is missing so much compared to others.

Also, get reported and blocked, I see that's not new to you while looking at your profile though lol.

Oh I'm waiting, glad she's getting something, but so is everyone else, so it doesn't really balance out too much imo. But we'll see.
