Do you guys think that future stages will be free?

This current free stage we are getting, some people speculate its only free cuz its already in the game. It is basically the tekken ball stage with a few extra decorations. Seeing the Bamco greed on display, one has to assume future stage content will be monetized. What do you guys think?

If they are not stupid, they will let people play on it if one of the two have the stage. They'll get more money like this than keep the stage only to people who paid for it, because after some time and if the stage is gorgeous people who don't have it will want to take it too... it's like advertising.

I think they'll follow the same concept they've shown so far: free stage or story but pay to use the character.
It also makes a lot of sense, it's easier for online play if everyone can just get any stage and story mode also acts as a way to advertise/demo the character.

In Tekken 7, all stages were available in ranked regardless of if you owned it not, you just couldn't lab your stage specific combos on said stage if you didn't own it.

Just because you don't own a stage, you still can play on it online. It was like that in Tekken 7.

The scheme has long been worked out in Tekken 7 and other fighting games. Paid Arena will be available if the person who purchased it selects it. It will also be available in the ranked list and will be selected randomly.

Yeah I get that. I just didn't know Tekken ever had paid stages 'cause last time I played prior to Tekken 8 was 20 years ago.
But if you can play on the stages if at least one person owns them and they are automatically part of the ranked/quick play pool of stages then why would anyone buy them in the first place lol.
