Throw break solution?
I'm going to present a controversial idea:
Throw breaks are poorly implemented.
A good concept, executed terribly. The animations feel like an oversight that became a staple.
I think all you'd need is to adjust the animations. ONLY the 1 break hand extends for a 1 break, ONLY the 2 break hand extends for the 2 break, both hands for 1+2 break.
This way its still a reaction speed test, but you can actually see what's happening.
I doubt this would ever be implemented however, as there would be a lot of community discourse.

It's been this way forever, no?

They only exception would be King (Giant Swing vs Shining Wizard), since both animations look like both hands extending.

You are either a veteran who thinks throw breaks are too easy now. Or you don't know how hard it was to break throws in old tekken games.

You pretty much know the basics. The only thing to worry about is if you opponent is either legit or not!

I've tried to practice throw breaks in practice mode and it's impossible for me to recognise the correct break on reaction. I simply guess the break and mostly go for the 1+2 option.

Yes, I am fairly certain it has, but I believe my point would still stand in previous games. I don't think the animations do their jobs.

Get Boxer's Throw Break trainer on your phone for USD 1.99 in the App store(s)

It can help you practice on the go.

Not impossible. Practice each animation one at a time so you get used to them. Then start mixing them together. Go for a 1 break and 2 break mixup, then 2 break 1+2 break, etc.

Mix all 3 together once you get more comfortable. And never guess. Even if you don't break the throw, it's better you press the right button late than the wrong button early

P1 - if you see their back > 2 break, if you see their chest > 1 break, both arms extending > 1+2 break
P2 - if you see their back > 1 break, if you see their chest > 2 break, both arms extending > 1+2 break
Try this with a shirtless character like Jin, you'll improve really fast

My least favorite thing about Tekken is that something as basic as teching a throw is some obnoxious drill you have to run in training mode.

personally i have a hard time seeing the animations but i might just need new glasses

This is really good advice actually. Thanks!

in most other games it is a guess, like SF throws are unreactable, you have to guess if your opponent is going to throw, i think tekken is better.

Dumb idea, certain characters are grapplers that's why it's not always consistent in the animations it's up to you to know because it s mix up just like anyone else, but hey it's mix up you can break also you can take an educated guess.

If that king is running at you and throws it's probably going to be a shinning wizard (1+2) outside of Jaguar sprint.

I don't play characters with a full throw game but I understand why it exists.

Gotta agree with the previous poster. This is good advice

I was having a lot of issues seeing the bear's // jack's arms because they're so large and their arms are sometimes obscured by their body

Just watching the body makes it so much better.
