It’s not that I don’t care about the rank itself, though, but I don't force myself to worry about it too much. Ranked is a great mode for learning matchups, people are trying to optimize their flowcharts here and they sorta seem to have something to lose, so learning to defend against everything that is thrown at you in ranked is very useful. On top of everything else, now there is also forced bo3 in the mode - it makes you get used to tournament conditions.
I didn’t know that being bad at a game can be an inspiration for others to get better, haha.
In such case I will continue to fool around and suck at the game to remain a beacon showing worthless ranks to run away from :)
It's almost an impossible mission to find someone similar, though. You either mop the floor with someone else or you get mopped, yourself. Wack.
The auto leveling of all the characters I never play as kills the fun of trying to learn them so I rather hold back then have every character autoranked past my skill with them
There's something fun for me about watching the points tick up and down, going on streaks for big point boosts. It just adds a little sense of progression. Ranked is otherwise meaningless in pretty much any fighting game, tournament play makes it all pretty irrelevant.
