What are some tips that are really useful for purple rank players? I feel like I'm stuck in a perpetual loop between Flame and Battle Ruler atm.

Best tip would be to mash more then, probably. Very few people know the matchup and there's a chance you respect your enemies too much is my guess. Try to use more strings and pokes (can also spam unsafe moves from time to time but don't over-do it).

You need to learn the match ups.

Just need more unga-bunga and some luck to get a win streak, that's basically the whole ranked in a nutshell.

No advice. These are ranks at which you can grow with a win rate of 40%. Just hope that one day you'll get lucky and land on a fujin. Above fujin you already have to learn to play

Wait for opponent to whiff and df2, or mash your strings into that mid-evading ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that's followed by a launcher. The launcher is safe anyway, and nobody's gonna know to sidestep it

Learn to step and whiff punish properly, learn to get your stance mixups in there and you should do be able to get higher ranks.

Nobody knows Leo, so you will catch a lot of people with stance mixups. Combined with how evasive the low stance is, you should be able to get plenty of free launchers.

Best tip is to duck the high moves of enemy char (free dmg) or try to adapt to enemy spaming these high +frame moves. On rulers ppls just going with the "flowcharts" try to destroy it with grabs and put fear in them for the grabs and go with mids (mix them up in your game plan)

you are playing one of the most braindead characters ever made while also being one of the least used, with a tracking hellsweep and unsteppable mixups out of stance... just throw your whole moveset at them, even if they know the moves, it's an eternal guessing game

rn it feels like everyone is mashing their entire on me and I don't know when its my turn to do so. Its a slow process
