Fundamentals are the basic Tekken skills common to all characters to perform well, like blocking, punishing, spacing, stepping and breaking throws.
The only way to get better at them is to get experience playing the game and spending a lot of time in practice mode as far as I know.
Through fighting experience you will get better matchup knowledge to make better reads and deepen your knowledge of the frames data, you will also adapt quicker to different player styles and get more proficient with execution in addition to improving your fundamentals.
1. Learn how to bait out whiffs with movement, threatening an attack but then quickly backdashing out of range for your opponent’s response to whiff.
2. Condition your opponent not to duck with safe mids and surprise them with a low.
3. Make the most out of every launch opportunity with a reliable combo.
4. When you do not know the correct punish for an unsafe move, do your ten frame punish.
5. Mix up the timing of when you attack to throw off your opponent’s defense and open them up for counterhit launchers.

in case you want to play tekken7 its important to learn how to whiffpunish stuff, being mobile, sidesteps and walks to avoid attacks. being patient and not just press buttons while you either wait for your opening or in case your char has good mixups using them to open your opponent up.
