Eddy was always lower tier to make up for him being easy and fun.

It's OK fam he will get a buff or two. Harada is smart. They can sell Eddy on name alone so they don't need to make him OP. If they did make him OP, people would turn on him super hard because he's easy and sometimes cheap. Might even dip into racism. Not necessarily FGC but the newcomers. They don't want that, so they put Eddy out a little weak, wait for him to settle, and buff him later.

give the top players more time to lab the guy, he's very fresh, when eddy released lots of good players (red ranks and above) were dying against him.

Sure he is a new DLC character so it is difficult to say where he stands exactly at the moment, however if you guys are saying that top players who labbed him to death before the tourney have not yet realized what you guys have discovered, that he is weak with his unsteppable mids, evasive highs, insane damage and chip damage , the "shalaa " loop into mixups, permanent heat smash 45dmg +6 on block QCF4 and braindead execution etc.., it is quite an interesting take on it :)
