Haute42 hitbox controllers
So, I've been thinking lately of changing to a levelress hitbox-style controller and I discovered Haute42.

Look at this beauty:
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005007065227205.html

This is R16, it has to be the latest model in the lineup, because there are no reviews yet on Youtube. But I think this is the one I'm gonna get.

It gives you plenty of room to rest your palms, BUT at the same time it has small buttons, which for some people might be more comfortable than the usual big hitbox buttons.

I have a T16. Bought it last week. I don’t like leverless tbh. Particularly with how close the movement buttons are to the arcade buttons. It’s faster than my victrix pro fs unfortunately which uses JLF. I just got it so I could wave dash faster and do better combo/damage due to easier just frame capability. As far as speed goes I’m assuming it’s JLF < Kstick < Leverless. I’m probably going try a Kstick next.

Looking at the one you’ve linked still think the movement buttons are still too close to the arcade buttons imo. Other than the lack of space between movement buttons and the arcade buttons Haute42 controllers are great. Having access to 16 buttons is awesome. I still need to adjust mine a bit.

I got one from this brand on amazon, and it's been great. I think it was one revision older than this one because I got it when the game came out, but it's really been nice to use for Tekken.

Yeah, I kinda wish they separated the movement buttons from the rest, but I think they put it close together because of that big button at the bottom, so you can press it with either your left or right thumb.

I've been considering T16, but I'm leaning more towards having smaller buttons.

Now, comparing R16 and S16, they both seem to have equally small buttons, but the R16 has more surface area, so I imagine it will be more comfortable for the wrists.

Yeah I don’t think you can go wrong with Haute42 so going for whatever form factor you think you’ll be comfortable with is a win. I’m assuming it’s still the gamerfinger buttons which are easier to get used to imo than Sanwa. Sanwa buttons in my experience are super sensitive so I was getting beat a lot early on in Tekken 8 due to mis-inputs.

I have the G16, it's pretty nice but going back I'd take a larger one with low profile swictes (this one has good old mx-style swicthes).

I have the 13 button one. It's okay. I still prefer my Fightbox with Sanwa buttons.

I bought T16 from AliExpress official heute shop, waited like week and a half for it (expected delivery was 3 weeks)

That was my first controller ever and I'm in love. The big buttons were weird to get used to for the first two days of using, but since then I cannot go back to anything else. While waiting for it I switched playing on keyboard and the jump from keyboard to controller is way more seamless then from gamepad imo

right now it's a good time for buying, they have a sale in aliexpress

I got one of these days ago and my only complaints are that relearning how to play on it is being really hard and that the buttons are "soft" instead of "clicky" so you have to be kinda careful when resting your fingers on them.

Really? I had the opposite feeling tbh. Maybe it’s just the Victrix brand itself that has sensitive buttons and not Sanwa like I was saying earlier because the gamerfinger buttons on my T16 didn’t feel sensitive to me at all. I did have to remap the R3 button to ‘None’ though because I was pressing that on accident.

I checked and mine is a different version (G16) so that could be it. But it could also be that I'm a rather tense player at times, too often I have the finger already half pressed on the button because I'm waiiiiting for the moment, very bad habit.
