that or people need to stop playing on wifi.. Im hardwired with 1000 mb download and my desktop is the only thing on it.. every time i fight some one, i lag up a bit during trying to combo someone. then it ♥♥♥♥♥ everything up

The game is peer 2 peer and not server based so that's not what would cause you lag.

Remove cross platform and you'll reduce chances of playing wifi players by a solid 70% since that's mostly a console thing for convenience.

thanks man, newer to tekken 8 cause i skipped 7 but man i was fighting a lili and the whole ass fight would pause for a second and it was making me cringe

servers connection is just for uploading info to leaderboards etc.

It has nothing to do with your connection to the opponent

its kinda weird like why not use dedicated servers in competitive games instead of peer to peer.. its gets annoying sometimes that they match us with someone whos on wifi and got like 20 devices on it streaming netflix prob and ♥♥♥♥ lol.

Tekken 8 does support crossplay, right? So half of them will be on consoles over WiFi. Of course the majority of them will say they have no choice, which I call BS. Blame people over WiFi.

I actually got in a debate with a console kid on tik tok over tekken lol.. ooo good wifi is just as good as being hardwired.... brooooo no it isnt

Server can fail you on the rematch menu... but in the server failing case, most of the time people won't even be able to enter any online mode long enough to get a match... that was my 1st 2 weeks in a nutshell: one smooth/lag free match and hours until I could connect again. Fixed in my region now...

Unfortunately, I fought some lag switchers on pc with cable, they can open a heavy program in background or simply unpause a big download on any device at home network...

yes. not only network issues but many of them use potato PC, the whole game is playing, reacting slower. the timing becomes just a different game. After beating a blue ranker on good connection, getting beat up by yellow ranker, same character as the blue ranker but with lag. Usually these laggers use rangy, flashy characters like Yoshi, Feng, Raven, Vict that they don't care about distance but just mashing! at least I'm skipping wifi.

Yeah I noticed this I think in a match I played right before I got off. I mean my pc can run the game ultra 1440p with very solid fps and no stutters what so ever. I wondering if they’re trying to run higher graphics than they can handle lol
