It's not the combo that determine beginners character.
Btw try Alisa as well. She has same concept but more straightforward. Which is both strength and weakness.
Learn the minimum to get a bit of damage after a launch, but you need to learn to launch first.
More beginner friendly are Paul or Law for example. Lars is more advanced imo.
Your focus should be the raw fundamentals : Distancing, movement, knowing when to poke, knowing when to use crush moves.
I would also heavily recomend not using the 1-button heat engager/smash as, however good they are, they're still kind of just a shortcut to victory. That's to say, dont ignore heat completely, or heat-engager strings, just dont become dependent on them to win your rounds.
He also has all of the generalist tools that you'd expect to find on most characters (low sweeping CH launcher, slashkick, WS launch, jab strings, orbital, command throw, spacing tools) and a small array of stances with options out of them. His stances aren't nearly as complex as something like Hwoarang or Steve, but it gets you used to the concept of moves being accessible out of stance - and the importance of being able to navigate into it.
Lars has many tools and the majority of his buttons are decent at most situations.
Claudio is similar, just like Alisa.
If you are new, just learning the basics, you will enjoy those three characters a lot. It will get frustrating to learn Tekken, because, just as mentioned already: it's a complex game, but those characters have many valuable skills which are fine by themselves andyou will not rely on combos to win matches.
You can pick up some launchers, learn a simple juggle combo, it can be less optimal than what you could do, but it should still be enough to win matches.
