If you're getting whacky inputs, look up the wiring or get a new board (pc ones are cheap) and re-wire it yourself. Its pretty easy with 20 pin connector cables and much cheaper then a Kitsune.
and razer are a bunch of charlatans selling overpriced items which are not worth the money they're asking
Supposedly it's Sanwa buttons, but AFAIK Fightbox is a Chinese company (I certainly got mine from AliExpress), so I suspect the buttons are counterfeit, and therefore lower quality.
I was checking it in lab and single inputs are just fine, but double inputs such as 1+2 are getting desynced in some cases. Not many cases, maybe 1 in 20, but it's certainly not a problem with my inputs when I go to lab and just lock my fingers and do 1+2 multiple times and it goes through as separate inputs.
I was suspecting it's either the buttons or the wiring, but I'm honestly too lazy to dabble in modding + don't have any tools and parts + I live in the middle of nowhere and need to import basically every part imaginable (the one time I went to a hardware store asking for an unusual cable, they looked at me like I'm some sort of an exotic creature), so on top of having to wait for a month, I'd have to pay for the parts + delivery, so I probably wouldn't save that much.
I was choosing between that and Fightbox when getting the first leverless, since they are both far cheaper and priced similarly, but it rubbed me the wrong way for some reason. I kinda want something premium this time, just wondering what to get.
Anyway, thanks for the tips guys, you did not make my choice easier.
I personally suggest you use a Hitbox or a mechanical keyboard, especially if you plan to use more technical characters like Mishimas.
the Kitsune is a decent controller, but it biggest flaw is how comfortable it can be. It can be very hard to tell in the heat of the moment if a button was held or released. Even at times when I know I have released a button press; I still may get into a situation where my figures hold down a button press, being that its extremely easy to rest your figures on your movement buttons and get an input without much pressure being applied.
There also the issue with button feedback, the controller is great if you wish to reduce the amount of noise leveless often make , only problem is that that noise can sometimes be used to verify if a specific input, was inputted correctly; the opposite is true for the Kitsune.
Hopefully this helps
