Too many changes too often is also not good. The new season is in few months as we are already almost half way through season1.

Now let’s give few weeks to judge if the current patch goes in the right direction or not. Nerfing heat burst and some of the strongest heat smashes in the game was a good call in my opinion.

they said they would still make changes but nothing as major as this and the previous one.

Nothing worse than devs stuck in their mindset regardless of feedback.

I mean everyone spits on this game they gotta listen.

Patch looks good but very VERY SLIM. gotta look at it closer, im on vacation right now but Id guess we need roughly 3 of those patches to have a playable competitive game in our hands.

These patch notes...

Some of these changes are okay. But others are lazy and not completely thought out imho.

King ff2 now +7?

Multiple throws are now 100% tracking by-design for King and others.

Command throws are generally steppable- but that puts the impetus on the defender to know the difference.

Massive damage nerfs across the board in relation to combos and stage hazards/gimmicks. Which would be fine- But many characters are skirting these changes by simply making a slight adjustment in combos or with mechanics intended by devs. (Bryan's Taunt is massively buffed now)

The more of this I read- the more confusing it is for players to differentiate what is a "bug" and what is "dev-vision". As you look at the notes- keep an eye on how many things "break the general rules" from character to character. This is a mess.

And as others have pointed out (myself included previously)- there is no more large-scale patches for systems until next season.

RIP Tekken 8 I guess. Because I think as this goes on we will see more and more holes that have not been plugged and new holes created by these decisions.

The most important is that the direction seems to be the correct one.
Less plus on block, big nerf to untouchable heat burst, nerfs to combo damage, nerfs to throws, nerfs to some of the strongest heat smashes, nerfs to moves like mishimas ff2. That's not nothing.

I hope this PC improvement is an actual PC improvement and not just whatever.

What character is a good alternative to Devil Jin? I give up on him

sees patch notes*
sees Reina nerfs*

oh well, 80 gb free of disk space I guess.

King seemingly getting a mishima-style wavedash is iffy in my opinion, especially as an AK main that wants King to stop stealing his swagger. All the other changes he got seemed fair and expected to me. B3 and CH ffn2 needed damage nerfs. Only thing they missed is making ffn2 -14 again, which should happen.

This is actually a good buff, ff2 was a completely useless move. It's a 32 frame mid that gave 0 advantage on block, no one was getting hit by that thing. Why it wasn't plus on block in the first place is a mystery to me
More King buffs hell yeah!
My man gets all the love <3 <3

Wow, Jin basically untouched. I'm speechless.
They don't have a clue what they're doing with Jun

They put this unique property on her where she damages herself yet they have absolutely no idea how to balance it, constantly adjusting it.
