Let's face it, the way the developers are going with the game. It is just going to be downhill all the way. :conwayfacepalm:

This is kind of very, very sad to see how things are going. I'm with you about its not the best in the series. Bad netcode and balancing etc.

I was wondering if they laid of staff or sent them off to "forced vacation"??? The 1st Battle Pass is obviously ♥♥♥♥ and they know it.

If you follow Harada's Twitter posts: Development cost and expensive were frequent keywords.
We just recently only had one teaser about Lidia. There's no hype, further announcement etc.

There's going to be a balance patch in June. Will that retain and bring new players in???
After 3-4 months, they reduced the price on Steam for the Deluxe version. Street Fighter 6 also reduced their prices.

In my humble opinion, there are a handful of nerds and tryhards left. Casuals come and go. Numbers are dwindling. Can't progress if its too aggressive and the elitists keep telling you to "get gud".

Shop items, hmm. Should be a lot better. Remember the previous maintenance update? They added only TWO avatars in the shop. I feel like... where are the dev people? On holiday? Fired. The previous update regarding the shop was abysmal.

Murry said that the shop should enhance the experience. But there is not much to buy!!!! Recycled stuff and avatars. The monetization and experience strategy is horrible.

I have a strange feeling they are cutting staff and cost. Look at the pace in updates and the friggin shop.

They just need to keep the Battle Pass thing actively going. I don't know why they have suddenly gotten so quiet. Passes are a good way to keep people active

I'm pretty sure, something hit BAMCO. Layoffs, cost cutting or both. Otherwise how would one explain the slow development, communication and marketing?

It's like, do you want to SELL the game to people or not? Or what exactly is happening?

We recently had a Lidia teaser. That's it...

Unless they adjust heat significantly I’m not going to play Tekken 8. Actually, there’s too many broken things in the game that I’m tired of dealing with.

Bad hit boxes.

Position swaps (unexpected side switch when doing certain moves) and camera bugs happen too frequently.

Nerfing tracking for a few characters but not the entire roster.

Not even mentioning the crashes. Since I uninstalled the game if I reinstall it I’m going to have to deal with the game crashing until I load every asset.

Sounds like a lot of complaining from people who don't wanna put in the work. The game is fine outside of the drunk cameraman. The game has had several announcements. Like for casuals I don't expect no casuals to stay around for fighting games...because there is always an specific ceiling they hit. So honestly if you don't like the game keep it to yourself. The game's fine the next set of balance changes are on the way. They are handling the game just fine.

Fine for you. If so, no need to participate in this discussion at all. I dislike these kind of people to the core. Plays Tekken with shorts with one ball dangling out at home.

If people A say something, then it means B, they are complaining? Look through the various topics and posts that have been written. This game should not be a "TEKKEN KING, red ranks only club", because that's where your mindset, your narrow perception stems from. As long you can play and hang out with your folks, everything is fine. Keep it to yourself, like you suggested in your previous post.

This is more that "just complaining", this is about an objective view on a subject matter. I don't really expect much from low IQ folks such as yourself. Sorry to say that.

This is about asking questions and having theories:

-Upcoming Patch, no further notes on release or marketing
-One teaser of Lidia only, silence after
-Still poor items in the shop. Especially since last release, only TWO avatars have been added.
-Poor monetization and marketing strategy. After-all its still a business. They are here to sell. But if there is nothing interesting or nothing new to buy, what then?
-The shop and battle pass content is mostly crap. Before you mention anything, I bought all the new costume packs. That's my contribution and fair share!
-On Twitter, Harada himself mentioned many times about "high development costs". He recently did so again in his most recent re-tweet about adding more customizations for the bear.
-I suspect massive cost cutting at BAMCO due to the slow pace in updates, balance and shop content.

i think its too late to "fix", looks like companies underestimate how important it is to have a good launch nowadays with live service games, you cant just postpone stuff because there's always the possibility to fix it later on, i'm sure in 3 years with a fraction of the player base the game could've had some people will cope and say the game is finally fixed and its normal for games like this to have rough launches because "muh arcade vanilla launch"

Yeah they underestimated the players good will as well. There are better games than Tekken that are less broken or not broken at all. They treated Tekken 8 as though it was an arcade release (beta test basically) which isn’t going to fly today.
