The game lost like 80% of player what is true but the numbers are still better than it was for Tekken 7. Plus we have cross play that nearly double the numbers of players online.

I’m super curious how the game will change after incoming game mechanics patch.

I think they’ve successfully divided the fanbase. I bought every Tekken since T5:DR. I bought T7 twice. ♥♥♥♥ Tekken 8, and frankly ♥♥♥♥ anyone that likes this piece of ♥♥♥♥.

both have nearly the same numbers and at the end the only real accurate way is to look into steam itself in the community tab to see how many people are playing so both are inacurate.

a lot of newcomers like it. so they most likely hoped that newcomers will just outnumbers the "complainers". it worked with sf6 so they most likely thought they get away with it too. same with the shop which blew up in theire face.
