and good tip for you:
You have 2 rounds or bo3 to try to know what your enemy like to use/play. Everyone have smol flowchart like if he is ducking highs, breaking 1+2 grabs, like to use lows, like to stand up with 3+4 (ez flash) etc. try to adapt to player not character they are playing
I guess I can't return to Ranked for several hundred more hours then. Might as well start playing other characters because I'm getting tired of playing just one character exclusively
I am MR right now and I had to stop playing to literally re-learn my character.
Keeping any habbits from T7 past that its just not possible. NOW you gonna actually learn to side step. If you used for example brain dead chains, block traps into a grab ect etc. Ruler Ranks are a hard check. All grabs start to be broken, most lows start to be punished and movement comes into play big time
I thought I was decent then matched with a few Fujins , and they used me, and touched me without my concent, in most perverted ways. Flamae Ruler and above has this noob X-Ray vision they can immediately tell if someone is pretending to be good then they just annihilate you. In my EXP and im a casula, just to be clear here
So yeah Tekken STARTS at Mighty Ruler. ranks before are like school and Ruler Ranks are like dipping your toes going out on your own into harsh world
However, nobody, including Namco, gives two shets about Soul Calibur, so if I want to play a 3D fighter at all, I have to play Tekken. The movement in Tekken is so awkward and clunky compared to Soul Calibur, which I'm not really used to. You can't SS toward the camera, which is also bizarre. There's also 100+ moves on most characters to learn, so learning the most common things people use on every single character on the roster is not something that happens after 1-2 matches.
I realistically wanted to hit Ruler and stop caring about rank for a while, play other characters, play more for my own enjoyment rather than sweating it out every single match and getting frustrated. However, seeing that I've hit the wall when I am so close to my goal is also frustrating because it feels like I should be only a few good matches away from hitting my goal, yet those few good matches seem nowhere to be found, as you're almost exclusively matched against people higher ranked than you in this game.
So really, coming off SC if you were actually decent at it Tekken should be much easier. I don't understand the logic
