Sure, but the amount of work needed to get that good. When I could pick up Jun, or someone else and do much better.

I mean sure getting good with steve, will make me better with others, but my god is it a hard road.
Steve is just hard to play, train more because the feel when u are a steve's master, is amazing.
Top tiers from T7 are being punished for their sins in T8
See: Leroy
Steve requires an idiotic amount of effort for what you end up with. His new fighting stance is so pointless and useless that there are clips on youtube showing how to quickly change his "best" fighting stance to another, though one suspects this is more of a mistake than an actual technique.
Sometimes Steve gets opponents whose chances of winning with him are close to zero. In the tournament, Steve lost to Leroy. So if you spend a huge amount of time, yes, you will be destroyed by one of the weakest fighters in the game.
Steve is garbage.

This is because steve is a char where in order to get the most out of him, you need to lab against every matchup in order to know how to pull off your weaves consistently. Hes a counterhit machine, but he requires a ton of matchup knowledge to use to his fullest
