Is T8 Viable on a potato mode (PC)
I had a PC for several years and opted to switch to GFN in order to save money. To my surprise i was able to run t8 Demo.....on potato mode, like ultra LOW settings.

Is the game still playable on that kind of settings ? Or do you need to be able to play at least 60 FPS to be competitive ?

LIke...is the game still enjoyable and playable with a righ that has the minimum hardware ?

You need 60 fps or the game slows down and you ruin it for both players.
WIth that said if you can get stable 60 at minimum settings it should be perfectly playable(if you don't mind blurry graphics).

If you only plan to play offline you could play below 60 fps if you don't mind it being slow, but then you're missing basically most of the game.

If your game can't hold 60fps it will slow down the game to the other player and most people will not want to rematch you.

Yes, you definitely need ultra stable 60fps to play the game online.

Depends from specs.
Make otgf -9 pls Feb 13, 2024 @ 9:09am
If most of the time you have 60fps and occasional drops to 59/57 for very short periods of time sure also there are hiper potato mods there

Check store spec page. If you configure your PC properly, the min spec would be OK.

it has to be locked at 60 WITHOUT FSR or any upscaling or you will get input lag

People will absolutely not rematch anyone thats dropping frames. Also if the load time takes forever I will make fun of you for having a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ computer.

It's not even viable on some high end pcs.

I have a 3080 and I turn my graphics down

I would suggest leaving games settings as default and trying mods that lower stage quality and see how that goes.

I's fully playable on Steamdeck, (low)
I also played it on my i5-4590 and RX580 system (low-mid)

def. yes
The game is very good optmized and pretty much every computer of the last 10 years should be able to play it.
If it's even older it could be difficult, probably you have to lower resolution to 720p then.

Online play is something you should do only with stable 60 fps.
Not just for your own experience, also for the others.

For very old systems you should also try to close as many backround programs as possible, this includes even lightweight stuff like whatsapp or spotify.

You could try something like:

[ScalabilityGroups]
sg.ResolutionQuality=50
sg.ViewDistanceQuality=0
sg.AntiAliasingQuality=0
sg.ShadowQuality=0
sg.GlobalIlluminationQuality=0
sg.ReflectionQuality=0
sg.PostProcessQuality=0
sg.TextureQuality=0
sg.EffectsQuality=0
sg.FoliageQuality=0
sg.ShadingQuality=0

in your ...\AppData\Local\TEKKEN 8\Saved\Config\Windows\GameUserSettings.ini

pls don't play if your pc can't handle it

Depending on how low you want to take the settings, i'm sure most computers can run it fine. I mean my computer is what, like 10-11 years old, with only the GPU upgraded from a GTX 780 to a 2070, and i can run it just fine. Maybe not maxed out but still. You definitely don't need a monster rig to run Tekken 8.
