Basically a warmup before diving into ranked.
group match is where you'd be fighting anybody, i believe
I haven't really tried messing around with the lobby system much yet. It just seems so tedious and awkward. The few times I did try playing there the people were clearly super new to the game so it felt like a waste of time for both of us. Maybe I'll give it another shot.
When I’m testing new combo routes or other tech I’ll go to quick play before I embarrass myself in a rank match
From my experience as a purple rank most players I encounter in a quick match are under my rank, so there is no incentive to play quick play unless I am testing stuff. It just isn’t as competitive as playing rank

In the grand scale of what’s important in life, your rank in a video game is as insignificant as it gets
If you derank you derank, it’s not a big deal but I encourage everyone here to play rank. You get people around your level and that’s the best thing. Quick play is all over the place, you get high ranks then you get a beginner, no consistency
