Turn on crossplay and if you don't want to use crossplay, buy the console version, I have Tekken 8 Ultimate on PC and the PS5 base version, I'm currently playing on PS5 because the PC version has crashes.

Do the same.

T7 still has players, so T8 also has players.

Tekken 7 was alive and well for 7 years with an average of 4000-6000 players on steam and it didn't even have crossplay.
So no, the game isn't dying at all. Fighting games don't need millions of players.

Having good netcode could also help so...

T8 netcode is better than T7.
The problem with fighting games is none of these things.
The problem with fighting games is that they're tough games where you can't rely on anyone else to win. Can't share the blame like in LoL. Can't get carried by teammates.
You lose, it's your fault and if you're new you will lose alot.
This has always been the reason why fighting games are a niche genre and likely will always be.

Sounds like an optimization issue from Bamco regarding the PC version but I guess it's their first time using UE5

In my experience it's only on Bamco fighting games I noticed it but not in others FGs like SF or Strive

And for netcode wise, I agree it's better than T7 but let's just see If they won't make it worse patches after patches like they in T7 season 4 day one

SF6 is just as niche of a game. Even if it's the most popular niche title, it still is niche.
Right now on a weekend there's 16k player online which is extremely good for a fighting game, add to that crossplay. But it still pales in comparison to really big e-sport titles like dota, fortnite, league or counterstrike.
Lucky for us, fighting games only needs two people to play, so having fewer players overall isn't as big of an issue.
And that's why it's no problem if tekken 8 is gonna have 4000 players only at most times at some point. We will still find matches pretty easily. Just like we did in Tekken 7.

At least these 20k Tekken players are worldwide.

See the 20k players that Street Fighter 6 gets, everyday? More than half only comes from Japan. Kek.

What impressed me in SF6 is that Capcom learn their mistakes from SF5 and they started to make it better by rebuilding everything.

Even on their netcode, I remember the producer said that SF6 will also have rollback but not like SF5 rollback and it will be rebuild from scratch.

Something Bamco could learn but they just lazy anyway.

For now mk1 is rip
it's not dying or dead, if you want a truly dead on arrival game just watch the steam number for under night 2 or MK1. Now the netcode is not great and the game is harder than sf6, making so they are less player staying overall.

How many thread and complain i heard about king or the fact that people can't improve because they play the game like it's a 2D fighter.

3D fighter are hard for a reason. mouvement is hard, even in soul calibur, so indeed a lot of player stick to 2D.

And the netcode suck, dosen't matter if it's better than t7.
