that sucks, I loved to watch my old fights for learning from my ass getting kicked in the floor.
well, I hope this get improved in the future, after all, being able to see the 100 recorded fights is part of the coolest things in the game.

It's because it doesn't store raw footage, but inputs and simulates them within your client.

It's always been like this. It won't be able to replicate older replays because the properties may be/are different. It is what it is.

As far as I know, no fg ever let's you watch replays from previous versions lol

Street fighter 5 used to do this though but that might be cause move properties hadn't changed between versions.
